Which cosmic champ to upgrade?

I reinstall the game 3 weeks ago, after 3 years long break. That's why I don't understand who is still most usefull. Is Hercules still the best cosmic champ? Or Galan, knull etc?
Which 6★ deserve all the resources? Will awaken it. Who is still relevant now in current meta? Currently in act 8.2 now. Since the game is running to 7★, but I need to rank up 1 or 2 cosmic 6★, since I don't have higher rank cosmic champ.
