Anyone knows what caused this wild interaction?

I was just doing some arena... used Cap Sam Wilson vs Cheeilth... I've blocked her medium attack and the next thing I know, she'd dead of a 119K Rupture burst...

    I think it’s a recursive loop.

While Captain Falcon has his bulwark buff, he reduces offensive AA by 100%. If he’s duped, causing an ability to fail deals an instant burst of rupture damage.

Chee’ilth can inflict bleed debuffs through block. If she’s duped, she also instantly heals a percentage of all physical damage taken from non-hits, including ruptures.

When Captain Falcon blocks a medium from Chee’ilth with the bulwark buff active and prevents the bleed, the instant rupture triggers. Chee’ilth tries to heal the rupture damage, but this is also prevented by his AAR since it’s occurring at the moment she strikes Captain Falcon’s block. Since another ability failed, the instant rupture triggers again, Chee’ilth tries and fails to heal this rupture burst, so on and so forth. The result is that Chee’ilth takes a million bursts of rupture damage from Captain Falcon’s sig at once and this just nukes her health.

    Something like this, then.

Yeah similar principle. Abilities constantly feeding into each other until they max out or something breaks.

Another thing that comes to mind is the wiccan vs 5.4.6 ultron boss. Where his regen buff whenever fails triggers again and creating a loop with the neutralize on. So yeah nuked with inicinerates.

That loop was fixed, I think

    That's pretty cool.
Could Cap Falcon do this against any other defenders?

This was the original Loki cheese. That’s why the first set of carina challenges had a Loki cheese pfp.

I won’t say no, but I doubt it. Assuming I am correct, this only works against Chee’ilth because she has an ability that immediately triggers when inflicted with rupture. Given that Captain Falcon’s sig ability inflicts an instant passive rupture, and that there’s very few champs with abilities that interact with ruptures, it’s unlikely there’s another recursive interaction like the one here.

You were right, @Squidopus . Not that there was any doubt, but confirmation yet the same.

    Sad but probably necessary.
