I think whoever came up with this synergy is a genius. Like Nova's helmet, lots of arms like Spiral, "energy" projection of the arm like Aegon's and Nightcrawler's tail... besides, the name of the synergy refers to the mash-up Monday Cat Murdock
The eidols were always going to be mid, even if in theory their kit is strong. The worst sin in this game is for the champions to be boring, and these Eidols just feel soulless. It's by no fault of the art team or designers, they just don't feel like Mcoc champions. Previously made champion like Guilly and Ægon feel marvel-ly enough to not stand out, and they were infrequent enough to not bloat the market. Isophyne was almost dead on arrival and that was only a few months ago, reception for this funny arm man is worse and whoever we get later in the year will fare even worse, simply because there's very very few people that even care enough to give them a look in. I beg that these Eidols don't get the same level of treatment via events as the deathless.

There are plenty of marvel characters that look like eidol champions
I think he looks great. Lots of little pieces of utility, not sig reliant, damage seems solid, seems deceptively simple to play. It's actually made me consider getting more weekly deals to get him, though the 6 star wouldn't be the worst thing in the world

I didn't say they don't look like Marvel champions, I said they have a completely different feel compared to the other Mcoc champions. Regardless they require you to work towards them, similar to the deathless, but they're uninteresting and don't have the same nostalgia pull the deathless had. (Plus at the end we were promised a meta Thanos. Who wouldn't want that?) No wonder there are very few people even willing to give them a look in.

This. Aegon, the Guillys (Guilly, G2099, Purgatory), Overseer, Chee’ilth, Symbiote Supreme, and even the MROC champs (Sorc Supreme, Storm PX, Jabari, Silver Centurion) despite being OG Kabam characters feels like they really belong.
Isophyne and this David Copperfield in Space feels like they are from Yu-Gi-Oh.
Lumatrix looks cool to me. I wasn't feeling Isophyne much, but this kit and look appeals to me more. I see a lot of potential there. Passives ✅ Easy rampup ✅ Immunities ✅ Utility✅ Damage✅
He would be probably useful in AW for some hazard shift nodes, but I don’t really believe he would be good for BGs. Even Hit Monkey would be better. Don’t really like dancing with a tambourine. He ignores miss, that’s good. But he is not that good Photon counter. I don’t really need Spot counter LOL…

This was my thought also hes just for a war node bleed and rupture hazard node in war maybe use in long form but i think hes more war based

I feel the same way. We usually say that the art team doesn't miss, but the one loading screen with Spiderwoman and Lumatrix (also seen at the top of this forum) just doesn't feel like it fits. Looking at it, it feels more like the cover of a fantasy comic or the cover of a romance novel. Not saying that it couldn't be a Marvel comicbook cover, but it doesn't immediately feel like one. And there likely is a throughline where the Lumatrix champion design screams "sci-fi fantasy" that influenced the loading screen design to skew more fantasy.
Lumatrix and Isophyne would feel more in place with the Protoss of Starcraft. Comparatively, Corvus, Cull, Proxima, and Ebony Maw all feel in place with Marvel characters.
In comparison, the loading screen with just Marvel champions looks slightly fantasy/dracula tinged, but by and large it feels of a piece with Marvel.

I mean if you look at an image of just the 3 mothers from the death of Dr strange you wouldn't think it was a marvel comic, that's not really a great signifier of feeling like a marvel character. Ignoring that, they're supposed to feel distinct from the rest of the characters but they do still maintain a similar art style
Looking up your reference, I would say that those death of doctor strange designs don't feel like Marvel, but since it technically is in Marvel books it is by definition Marvel designs.
If we're looking at a bell curve, the Eidol designs are probably 2+ SDs from what a typical Marvel character appears like. Players like myself are pointing out that they don't feel like Marvel characters, and players like you are pointing out that it still is technically part of the curve. Neither side is wrong.

It's just that step too far. Especially for the choice of chase champions. Chase champions need to be appealing to the masses otherwise content start to fall apart. The deathless were such perfect candidates. It was a Kabam own concept, (2 of which were Kabam own champions) mixed in with the nostalgia of them being already established in the contests years back. These Eidols came out of nowhere, have no ties to anything, and their designs are subjectively foreign enough to be unappealing. I think if they were modeled slightly different to be more in the general line with champions like Ægon, and were released as standered champions sparingly. (2 a year at most) without some big intricate story push, they'd be more accepted than they are now.
