What’s the Crack with the AI & Input Fixes? We’re Still Waiting…

Hey everyone,

This isn’t a rant—more of a genuine call for clarity, because I know I’m not the only one still wondering:

What’s going on with the promised AI and input fixes?

A few weeks ago, following heavy backlash from the community—including forum posts, content creators speaking out, and an in-game boycott—Kabam finally acknowledged a lot of long-standing issues. They pushed out some emergency Battlegrounds changes, rebalanced objectives, and even handed out some nightmare raids freebies. Fair enough.

On March 22nd, Kabam Crashed posted a lengthy Battlegrounds-focused update, but at the very top of that post, he said this:

“The team is currently working on a post about the AI and our plans for it…”

Now, we’re well into April, there’s been a livestream since then, and we’ve had no word at all. No post. No dev diary. Not even a hint. And I have to ask:
Have we all just forgotten about it?

Because for me—and I know for many of you—AI issues are still the most frustrating thing in the game. It’s not just “input drops.” It’s:
• Passive AI that refuses to throw specials
• AI that blocks attacks mid-combo
• Parry basically being RNG input wise
• Defender dex triggering randomly and punishing you
• Defender being able to special you through block without any node allowing them to do so
•. Defenders somehow blocking your specials in the middle or at the end of any L or M ending combo
•. Defenders recovering so fast you can’t punish a perfectly dexed special anymore
• Special intercepts getting blocked when the ai has committed to a dash animation
• Light intercepts and backdraft intercepts from the AI that feel like I’m fighting MSD
•. Attacks from various champs whiffing and causing you to get smacked in the face

It’s exhausting. It’s immersion-breaking. And it makes otherwise fun content—especially story content and competitive modes like Battlegrounds feel super RNG dependant when it should be skill based.

I’m happy that Battlegrounds rewards are improving. I’m excited about Act 9.2 and the new events. But none of that fixes the fundamental issue that so many of us have been struggling with for years now:
The AI is unreliable. The inputs are broken, and we keep being told “theyre working on it.”

So, respectfully, I’d like to ask:
• Where is the AI update post that was promised on March 22nd?
• Is the team still working on it?
• Are changes coming? If not, can we be told honestly?

This post isn’t made with anger—it’s made with frustration and hope. I genuinely want to see this game thrive, but the silence around AI and inputs after acknowledging the problem is starting to feel like déjà vu.

Thanks for reading—and if anyone from Kabam sees this, even just a status update would go a long way.

P.S : If Kabam have in fact made a response/post and I’ve missed it, please link it in the comments for me and others.

Thanks in advance 😊

All the spenders gave up on their fake boycott when the Nightmare RAIDS compensation came out and now it's just business as usual.

Kabam IS working on fixes, and Crashed was very transparent about everything, though while doing so introduced a whole slew of NEW issues and questions. When these will be addressed, who knows, and as for the greater platform-wide AI issues... I think we'll be holding our breath for quite awhile still.

Yep, as I mentioned they would and kabam would go back to their nature. Spenders have that dopamine addiction, could care less about long term health and the player base in general. Rehabilitation is needed.

I'm ok with the time they are spending to prepare for changes as long as they keep their word.
The BG changes are still being prepared we don't even know how good or how bad they will be. Expecting to announce other changes before they even implement the BG one is a bit unrealistic.
About the boycott, lol, only 1 YouTuber backed off, doesn't mean everyone is back to spending.
