just gotta say, the log in and page load screens on the most current update are pretty solid. I mean:
our heroin front and center with looming evil behind? a little “damsel in distress”y, sure,, but you know she’s normally way better than to be caught up like that. sets the tone of impending danger.
and splash panel much?
dynamic framing of two heroes surrounded, outnumbered. real sense of scope and scale. heck, kinda makes me want to rank Spooky Spider and Swamp-adjacent Thing, they look AWESOME!
a lot of people have some concerns about the game. rightly so. but credit where due, these pieces make me wanna crawl through my comic collection. bring back the anticipation of waiting for the next chapter of the story to come out, the first looks at a new artist on a book.took me back to my younger nerd who I had been losing touch with.
there have been months where I was waiting for the next update, got real tired real quick with the loading screens. this month? ask i about three weeks, but this month I’m good with it. and I’m honestly thankful for that.
