NIGHTMARE RAIDS ROUND 2 (FULL CHANGELOG)

Greetings Summoners!

Before the next round of Raids kicks off, here’s the final itemized list of the tuning changes you can check out for the upcoming event! Some of this has already been outlined, but here’s the FULL changelog.

Global Raids Changes:

  • Raids - Boost - Assault - Siphon Slider:
    • Now increases the Damage boost of Role Force by 0.5s while the defender has 5 Debuff Siphon inflicted.
      • This may seem small, but this is a MASSIVE damage increase, now every time you strike the Defender you will increase at least 1 tick of your DOT damage, as well as any burst damage you do.
    • Now inflicts a 50% Daunted Passive during Attackers Special Attacks.
      • SHBLEED BABY SHBLEED.
    • Debuff Siphon Potency Reduced from 100%->75%
      • This is pretty necessary with just how much power the Role force change gives you. It may seem strange to nerf the damage of this boost, but it’s now one of the highest DPS options with the other changes.
    Raids - Boost - Tactician - Vicious Placebo:
    • Now increases the Damage boost of Role Force by 0.5s when 5 Viscious are applied.
      • Similar notes to Siphon Slider, this is a MASSIVE DPS increase.
    • Vicious Potency Reduced from 100%->75%
      • This is pretty necessary with just how much power the Role force change gives you. It may seem strange to nerf the damage of this boost, but it’s now one of the highest DPS options with the other changes.
  • Boss Size increase removed.
    • This was mostly just a fun piece of flavour to really sell the GIANT BOSSES, but was causing too many issues with Whiff’s.
  • A general Pass on “Raids - Boost” to ensure that they are all granting the correct amount of Fervor.

Nightmare Raids Changes:

  • Timer increased from 3m->5m.
    • We want to ensure as many champs as possible can chew through a Raids fight! More time makes that more reasonable.
  • Removal of all “Phase” nodes.
  • All Bosses gain roughly 10% HP.
  • Crush Penance timer reduced from 10s->5s base duration.
  • Added Choice node after the first boss in each lane (that’s right, it’ll be there THIS cycle!)
    • Role gates will block the choice node to ensure that you don’t swap to a role you don’t currently have
    • Champ swaps will only show champions of the associated Role
    • There is currently no “Skip” option, but these are not forced-choice nodes like crucible, you can back out of the swap once you progress to the screen.
  • Reduction on Korg’s Thorns has been reduced further.
    • -20% -> -60% Damage.
  • Stun on-block has been removed from Apocalypse.
  • Cleanse has been removed from Jabari Panther.
We’ve still got some more changes coming down the pipe in some upcoming Raids events, including another sweep of HUD clarity, as well as how we’ll be introducing a Test map to ensure you have more access to picking the best Role Boost for your Champions! We’ll be continuing to look for more updates to the mode, and chasing any more issues that arise.
