9.2.6 Lotan Tip & Tricks

I think Lotan is a fun boss and well designed one. Better than Oruchi definitely.
I completed all 3 paths in 9.2.6.

Phases (Image Credit: Simula67):

My Insights:
--------------------
1. The first and foremost thing, as the storm starts, the device lags, freezes and input drops are there. Situation thankfully became better in successive attempts.
2. Your attacker needs to be in a position with respect to that storm do stuff to remove charge from that position and then Lotan goes in wounded state.
3. When i did first path which has no trap nodes, i struggled with Phase 3 and Phase 4. It's more about learning how to dex the sp1 and handling game lags, it took me time, my device also learned. My next two paths were much improved and easier once i understood the rhythm.
Phases:
-------------
Phase 1 - Mediums into Lotan Cornered (Use easy parry play to push Lotan into Corner) to remove charges for wounded phase.
Phase 2- Get yourself cornered now, do light ender to remove charges. Like go to corner, parry or punish heavy and do light ender immediately. You can still parry. Punishing heavy will be helpful here.
Phase 3: You need to stay near the boundary of storm. You can parry but this time lotan is stun immune. Keep doing parry but keep hitting as well to get to sp2. Parry and sp2 will remove charges, esp sp2. This is a bit tricky as parry isn't stunning Lotan.
Phase 4: In this phase you should be perfect with dexing Lotan sp1 which may need practice. Keep dexing sp1 to remove charges. I kept hitting Lotan, when she was near to sp1, i came back in storm and then let her trigger sp1. This rhythm works well. You can use Titania here for bonus removal.
Phase 5: This is actually easiest phase, i didn't have issue in of my attempts. You need to dex 3 projectiles of sp1 and move towards Lotan in last one to punish it and remove charges. If you did phase 4 well, it will get easier, like you know how to dex all 4, just move in last one. She keeps getting back to back sp1 and charges remove quick.
Champs:
--------------
1. Deathless she hulks is clearly the best nuke. She does high burst damage in wounded phase, my R2 takes almost complete health. Her damage is statisfactory to watch.
2. Other champs i used were Titania, Silk, Cage who did decent damage. For some reason photon does very less damage in wounded phase for me, not sure why.
3. I used these 5 for boss all 3 paths. First path with no trap node was a science path so no switch. Next path was guaranteed crit path, i took Hit Monkey alone and then switched for science option. For last path, i didn't read well, it had Terrax and Vision Aarkus so took Abs Man and switched for science option. Both did well.
4. Among trap node, the notable one is the path that adds stun every few seconds, you need to throw special to avoid it. That adds slight complexity but still manageable each phase.
5. I enjoyed it on my last path as by then i had learned it all and was fun and flawless. Like once you get the flow it's very enjoyable.
That's all i wanted to share, hope it helps you. Share more.

And lag and dropped inputs when the defender uses some type of ability? Big surprise right? Lol
