As an (almost) F2P Player, I Just Beat Superbroz - biggest whale in the game - in Battlegrounds

I just wanted to share a little victory—I'm a mostly F2P player, spending around $40 a year on the game (which is the max I can afford), and I managed to beat Superbroz, one of the biggest whale in the game who spent 200k in the last banquet - in Battlegrounds.

I thought I would share it on the forum as a message of hope for those who can't - or can barely - take any offers. It is possible to still compete with the top-tier player.

And also props to the developer, no matter what is being said, for a game that is balanced enough that free or low spending players can go toe-to-toe with big spenders.

Keep grinding, stay persistent, and keep having fun.

Sometimes it be that way, get out drafted. Ai just sucks on and on but good job!! Not trying to take away from your win. Sometimes you just gotta suck less than the person you are facing.

I usually push her to a Special while she’s under 15 charges and let her launch it. Then, while she’s below one bar of power, I punish her heavy with my own heavy, which activates her Light Form and then I just let it expire before she can reach anoter SP—then I just rinse and repeat. Also, I never go for a well-timed block; I just take everything on my block.

Ah yes in this meta you need to go with heal block, heal reverse or debuffs and despair for Photon for sure.

Oh, ok, thanks. I've just been using skill champs like Elsa and BWDO and Silver Sable, but I'll try heal block champs and science champs with a lot of debuffs.

Tried doing it with mantis but just not enough on the sp2 to finish

I was thinking Kang, or another time controlling champ, controlling time somehow. Forwards or Backwards, backwards could be a healing mechanic and forwards could be a DOT thing.
