    By the way, I don't think she needs the block penetration stat focus. She ain't hitting into people's blocks on defense, she's straight murdering them.

    What makes her good on defence? Is it those reverse controls ? I never placed her on D thinking she ain't good.

    And that's the beauty, even if your opponent has one of those 4 or 5 counters, they have to sit on them until you place her on D, but she's such a good attacker that you can just flip the script at any moment.
    Is it just reverse controls? Because of so, I just think people aren't familiar with her kit yet since nobody has fought her really. You don't need a hard counter if that's all it is.

    Yeah, I'm not sure. I assume top players can handle her and don't need a counter, but I personally have trouble even with Knull so I'll probably need immunity (although I guess I can just use her against her if that happens).

    There is a callout a second ago whether it's reversed or normal controls.

    I think that’s recency bias. Especially for the defense part. People thought Onslaught was straight up unfair when he came out. A few months and a Season of Sorrow boss later, now Onslaught isn’t that bad to fight.

    It’s probably a similar thing, to a lesser degree, for Jean. We’ll see as time passes.

    Offensively though… I dunno, does Jean have triple pseudo-immunities and top tier near-infinitely scalable damage that isn’t stopped by anyone? If so, maybe then there’s a conversation there.

    Apparently I missed something, when did anyone ever remotely come to the conclusion that Jean is a better defender than Onslaught? It’s literally just reverse controls, and a bit of stalling via the force field. You don’t even have to be scared of blocking her specials if you don’t want to react to the 50/50 RC roulette because she inflicts meaningless exhaustion debuffs that are just free willpower healing. At best I’d compare her to Mister Negative as a defender, nowhere near Onslaught’s level. They both have that sporadic RC, but at least Negative punishes you for having debuffs with weak unavoidable damage instead of giving you blank debuffs for free healing.

    I'm just going off what she's done for me this season in BG. Send me a friendly request and you can use a non-RC champ to take her out as you say.

    Your jean is getting you those dubs because she is new and literally nobody has even read her kit or experienced her enough to know how to beat her. It's literally every new defender effect.

    I was dieing to gorrs and valkyries when they were released.
    When she becomes alot more common, people will learn how to fight her just like EVERY DEFENDER.
    For now, enjoy the element of suprise

    Yes, this is how MCOC works; new champs get released; some of them like Jean and others before her wipe the floor in BG until the playerpool learns or adjusts or new counters get released...
    Literally nothing about this game is permanent, so yes, we play in the moment; the past and the future are irrelevant in MCOC...

    The premise of OP’s post is in regard to R4, and your response implies that she is R4 worthy on the merit of being a better dual threat than Onslaught.

    I wouldn’t say someone is R4 worthy just because they happen to be a good defender for one month (although I know people do that). If she is an amazing attacker, sure, but don’t oversell her as a dual threat if it’s only temporary.
