Account was hacked. Need help.

Recently my nephew's account (originally my alt account that I gave to him) was hacked. Someone on discord approached him offering to do content for payment. He declined. After looking into things it was determined the next day then $200 unit bundle was purchased and then refunded 12 days later. Now my nephew has -20000 credits after doing nothing wrong. I'm corresponding with Kabam Support, but they are offering no assistance. It's not right that a 13 year old boy who plays daily and is starting to produce content is being punished for the actions of a hacker. Can anyone help?!?

For most games if you refund what you bought they take back the same amount of currency whether you've spent it or not. So your nephew might've bought 20000 units, spent them and then refunded them resulting in -20000.

He probably shouldn't have given away his login info.

Are you saying a hacker spent $200 on the account and then had it refunded? That’s not what happened lol

Ok. This was clearly a mistake. But for clarity's sake...This is the account I gave to my nephew, not mine. I have my own. Kabam is stating a unit pack was bought and then refunded. There is no purchase history on google play. There was never a spike in units. I have multiple screenshots during the time period to prove it. I agree with the confusing context, I wish I could explain it better. No evidence shows that any units or other materials were ever credited to the account. No login info was ever given out, in fact I logged in for him. He doesn't even know the password. Maybe it wasn't a hacker. I don't know. But I legitimately believe that there was an error of some sort.

Ok, so sounds like you are basically acting like the “parent”, having setup an account only for your nephew to play as his own (and only him, right from the beginning) ?

#1. Do you only ever do this on HIS OWN device (does he even have his own device) ?
Or do you switch back-n-forth on the same (your) device, between logging in as you to your account when you are playing, and then switching to logging in as him for him to play (but still on your device) ?

#2. You said Google Play Store does not have any purchases for that account.
Do you (both ?) use Google Play to login to those 2 accounts ? Or do you (both) use actual Kabam ID (email/username + password) to play (and those 2 Kabam accounts use different email addresses) ?

So, even if using Kabam ID to login to game, when you make purchase it can be done from ANYBODY'S Google Play whomever is logged into their GOOGLE account on that device. (it is the Google/Apple login that charges you money, no matter which account you are actually logged into in game itself).

So maybe either of you did do purchase on his account, thinking you were in your own account ? Or nephew while playing his game account pressed to buy a pak in game (on your device), so your device still had you logged into Google on the device (and for purchases). And then a refund was done later ?

In conclusion, this account will be deleted in many ways. I.e. Kabam ban, hacker hack

My grandpa used to say "Graves can be deeper than 6 feet, so stop digging"...
Why would you have screenshots of your nephew's account?... Just stop digging man .

I hoped to post on here to get some insight on what may have happened as i had reason to believe it was an error or hack. Wondered if someone else had ever experienced anything of the sort. I am disappointed that I was only met with judgement and assumption. My apologies for thinking I could have received assistance in resolving the situation.
