Is it worth grinding units for heart of fire

Rn I have 4K I could get 4.5-5k from 100% act content but would it be more worth to just not waste my time and spend money on the event when it comes out?

    Spend money right now. And get units and poolies. Save the units.
    The heart of fire event have top champs. It's worth it to throw units.
    I have 6.5k units I'll throw all of them.
    But I will never grind arena no matter what kabam does.
