AI power gain issue

AI is such a big problem that needs to be fixed. I was fighting a Hyperion in war using gentle in war because I needed a coda champ.
This shouldn’t have been a problem except for the fact that the ai went from s1-s3 through power gain. I wasn’t blocking or attacking(except every now and then a hit to the block), he just sat there refreshing his power gain every couple of seconds.
Please fix this Kabam, I lost an attack bonus when I shouldn’t have.

I was limited to coda champs otherwise I would have brought someone like doom.
Hyperion AI will either throw specials back to back or he will fold arms and stare at you with smirk as he reaches sp3,
Nothing else.
If you were absolutely adamant that you needed a Coda champ for some reason and couldn’t afford dedicating one of your other two team slots for a better Hype counter, there’s still Coda attackers that can stifle his power gain. Champs like Purg, Destroyer, and Spidey Supreme can either control power gain or stymie power gain buffs, and Iceman can eat an occasional sp3 to the face.
I faced Dragon Man in AQ who went straight to sp3 and launched it. Not a big deal but lost a chunk of health as a result. Then same issue with Mordo who is a boss on the side quest, he stands with his back to the wall and launches his sp 3 instantly when he gets it. At least in Mordo's case, i could restart and use a power control/unblockable champ instead of a evade counter champ. Lost the one time resources for the restart but wasnt going to waste revives on a side quest.
- in Mordo's case, as he gets close to his power gain he'll start to back up before blocking in the corner, if left late enough you can literally take your hands off your device and let your champ run straight forward without danger. As he corners himself you have a good chance at heavy attacking his block which cancels the power gain. You can also occasionally slow down a combo and finish the 5 hit as his power gain buff starts, cancelling it.
- Dragon Man pauses his power gain if you stun him, this includes parries.
- If power gain is an issue for you, Wither and/or Petrify debuffs slow down the power gain and can eventually reverse it if potent enough, Void is the first champ that I can remember ever using petrify and does so very well, and Quicksilver can inflict Wither very very easily. Taunt Debuff champs will also increase the likelihood of the defender throwing their special.
Sorry if you're aware of all of the above, hope it's useful.
- Onslaught & ench with their 5 combo into block when you need them to throw heavy to get openings/ remove spells.
- Intercepting onslaught is the go-to play, but his AI also has that bozo gene that turns him into prime MSD light intercepting you.
- Mordo holding that block button while he has power gain:
Moral of the story:
Different champs, different profiles, same a**hole AI. Atleast it's consistent, I'll give it that (consistently rude af 🙃).
