On a whim I decided to reinstall the game after 3(ish) years of not having it. I think the last time I logged in was roughly around Jan 2022.

Looking around in some ways the game still feels very familiar, and in other ways I don't recognize it at all.

Paragon was still relatively new when I left the game, and I don't think Act 8 had even come out (or at least I had no progression in it if it had).

I am curious how everyone feels about the game these days. What are the champs that are the "must haves" or at least highly desirable these days. My 6* Herc and Apoc were putting in all the work back in the day.

I see the daily crystal is now claimed on the web store, which didn't exist back then. Do the 4 hour crystals still exist? I have many in my inventory from before, but have yet to see how to claim any new ones.

Are there any major changes I need to be aware of off the bat? Any content I should try and focus on? I feel rather behind the curve, but that is to be expected after so long away.

    Those crystals still exist, they’re just in the daily super event. Click the checkmark in the bottom right corner and it’s there. It’ll help you progress pretty quickly. I’m not sure if BGs was really up and running then, but battlegrounds is a pretty fun mode and there’s new nodes every season. The BGs store can help you progress quickly. Again, not sure how new relics were in 2022 but they’re needed for a lot of nodes in story content now. They help you find openings to attack as well as give your champs an edge with little boosts to describe it in short. As far as story content, we have all the way to Act 9.2 now. For endgame content we have Epoch Of Pain, Crucible, Deathless Guantlet (I can’t remember what the exact name is), and shooting stars (not sure if this was available in 2022 I can’t remember). Epoch is GREAT rewards if you can run one path of it. Right now, I would capitalize on the pool shields event going on and pick up your favorite 7 star or a 7 star you don’t have - I would suggest Silk, Onslaught, Photon, or Medusa (she got a buff). Heart of Fire is coming up soon and we’ll see a lot of good champs added as 7 stars so save you units

    Relics were being tested when I last played, but had not been fully implemented at that time.

    I will keep an eye on the daily super event for sure.

    I loved Medusa back in the day, so that is exciting to hear she got a buff.

    There have been quite a few buffs. If you show your roster, we might be able to help ya out with some rankup options
