My 2nd r4 7*

This is my Adam Warlock propaganda post. I think he’s one of those champs that continues to age great because of how versatile he is and I think he’s incredibly fun to play
Already have a really long Adam guide written on the forums if people wanna check that out, so I won’t say too much here but he’s really good for pretty much anything
https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/373717/adam-warlock-is-amazing
Has great damage for long form content and can solo multiple necropolis fights, has great damage for short form content and can nuke the hardest defenders in BG without a hassle (Domino, Photon, Onslaught, even mystic champs like Kindred and Sassy) and his pod is one of the best pieces of utility in the game rn imo. 10/10 would recommend my golden boy

1. Dashing in and playing into your light intercept (watch the middle of the screen)
2. Holding block and you just immediately dash in and break their block
The light intercept one is rare from my 100s of tests with him but that comes down to practice to react quickly. Either with a striker, your pod, or your special, or if you’re really good dashing out and hitting them (but this does take MSD level reflexes and isn’t necessary at all)
The dashing in thing comes quickly if you do it a few times. As soon as you see your fist doesn’t connect you dash in and you’re good to go. The only time you medium intercept with Adam is when they’re against the wall and lights get risky
If you’re not in a timed environment it’s super easy to play him by going for sp3’s or just building some power and having a safety net all the time. If both of you have a special ready it gets much easier even if you don’t fully master him. His one pod is also a lifesaver and you can pop that whenever you’re unsure
I think we're seeing a lot of 7s get R4'd because R4s are rare and you can punch down a lot, so almost all 7R4 champs today look great.
But when things even out, the hierarchy will return again, and champs who were good or bad as 6s among equal 6s will still be good or bad as 7s among equal 7s.
And that's not a comment on AW since I've never used him.
1) when bgs were introduced, every champ is a 6* except quake, magik and lol Ultron. So the good champs are overshadowed by top of the class ones, Like hulking galan and her oversh7all Good cosmics like Venom, Odin, and knull. But when these champs are released as 7*s and there's no hulking or galan to overshadow them, players actually try these champs and rank then up.
2) Stat focus makes a lot of difference, especially for champs that are crit reliant, Like venom or black cat, or rintrah. They take these champs from good to Goated.
Challenger rating makes a massive diffrence;
Stat focus adds up too.
Op took him up to r4, not many are doing that because he is performing at r3.
6* adam had hard time punching up, also his Cosmic counterparts were too strong which obviously overshadowed him.
We don't see the same probelm with 7*s. 7* are proving to be mostly stand alone work horses.
...
I had one different beef with him. Content creators went on crazy clickbaits overhyping him. ThankGod I left behind all mcoc youtubers. They'll say anything to get views.
But nowadays, only a few have Adam Warlock on BG Battle Deck
