The Red and Dead spring cleaning was an absolute banger of an event/store (well done guys) but then we're offered a mid 7 star champ for over 5k units?????

The mid champ won't be available in crystals for a year while onslut is there on basic crystal.

He's only released as 7* due to new series but also funny how Kabam didn't even tried to give him slight buff and just released him as 7* to get it over with.

Some deals are made simply to appeal to collectors. With the new dare devil series having come out, it gave kabam leverage to earn some money from those collectors. Not all deals are supposed to be amazing. Some deals are made for a few minority such as the 7* vision deal a while back.

There were past deals offering 9k units a pop for one 7 star champ so this deal does not seem super extravagant

I mean it was very clearly promotion for the show that they likely had to do, this game is marketing at its core. It's not like a small tweak takes a day to do, it would take months of planning and testing is not like they can just drop other stuff and do it

I've got to admit, the paradox as you've phrased it here is pretty hilarious.

I will say Kabam have routinely sold champs, new and old, for 9.5k units or more (Nefaria, Bastion and Red Guardian come to mind as the most expensive). I at least feel that DDHK's pricetag is something of an acknowledgement from them that he's less relevant than their other directly purchasable champions

It's fine if kabam don't want to tweak DD. But they can plan it if they want to.
Kabam have access to information way before anyone else does. So it's not just dropping stuff or a matter of a day or two.

No. The point is that they didn't change DDHK because they didn't want to. Not because Marvel forced them to release 7* DDHK on short notice.

I think it's a missed opportunity, for Kabam as well as for summoners. I'm sure the DDHK chain would have been seen much more positively (and had more people take advantage of it) with a light touch buff to some of the numbers.

Marvel forced them to release ddhk AND they didn't have time to buff in time for the shows release.
