Is it Stupid to go for the selector for mostly DUPE options, should I just spend on Rank Ups?

So it's nearing the end of the Shield event, and I'm really stumbling on where to spend my resources.
I luckily *just* got Onslaught last week, otherwise that would've been an easy option. BUT there are so many good champs I have highly ranked that I *could* dupe from the selector:
Onslaught, Kushala, Photon, Angela, or Void.
NEW champs that I could want are Shuri, Sentinel, or Storm.
Some of these, like Angela and Void, really change when you dupe them but only if they have really high sig, and it would take me a very long time to get the stones for it (same for Sentinel who I don't even have yet, I'd have to dupe him first).
Am I better just using my credits for 2-3 Rank Up gems and the like? Or would having a duped Onslaught/Photon/Kushala be game changing enough?

1. New champ
2. Rank up mats (assuming you have some meta champs ready to go)
3. Dupes (unless it’s a particularly transformative dupe for a champ that you use heavily)
Do I regret not getting Medusa, photon, silk or kushala? Maybe,
But I get to r3 3 champs, which I believe might be way more helpful than having just 1 super broken champ.
