So genuine question, as this is going to significantly impact a lot of players especially those who have used R4 mats, do you think we’ll be entitled to receive those materials back?

I’m in the same boat. Used awakening gem on sinister and used mats to rank 4 him. This is an extreme nerf/fix and I’m going to want my mats back.

Whatever damage you're getting with the vicious degen now, divide by half then multiply by 1.3.
So if you're getting 20k vicious degen ticks, it should be 13k with the correct 30% vicious.

That's a pretty significant difference. I guess that sinister at R4 would still be halfway decent on defense but it really takes down his offensive value. Not saying I would expect them to do anything but I would most definitely rank him down and rank someone else if they offered it as an option due to this mistake.

Yeah in my view Rank Down tickets are needed here, the champs were all bugged, Okoye, Sinister and Scream are all being ranked up for their offensive value and damage, they drop this news after a big event comes out where people were able to purchase and rank up these champions.

This seems like either nefarious activity, or (giving the benefit of the doubt) simple oversight mixed with poor timing. If the latter were true I’m sure kabam would be happy to give summoners back Rank Down Tickets (as they did with Mole Man and others in the past), if they don’t do this the community has reasonable grounds to assume the worst. Real shame this has to happen just after kabam has rebuilt some goodwill amongst the community.

I R4'd him today and have no regrets; but obviously I understand if others feel differently.
In my opinion this would take him from "insanely broken" to "merely one of the best."
But yeah, if someone R4'd him over like Onslaught or Jean based on this vicious bug, then I understand being upset.
I think he probably needs to be awakened and close to max sig to justify an R4 over those two if the vicious gets fixed.

He's not insanly broken though, hes slow on attack in bgs due to inequity and on defence there are plenty of champs that counter him. So if he has always been bugged then hes pretty much useless in bgs as his damage is almost halved

Embarrassing for them if that’s the case. And extremely frustrating for those of us who ranked these champs based on their performance that we didn’t know was wrong.

Yeah, like I said, I'm not going to argue with anyone who wants their R4 mats back. It makes sense.
I will just add though that his science regen is also broken and not working. So they just better fix that too at the same time as they fix the vicious...

People who rank champs to simply take advantage of a known bug don't deserve tank down tickets. They don't deserve anything at all.

Am I missing something here? This vicious bug started with latest version 50. Sinister was great before v50 and if the fix is back to before v50, what is the problem?

Yeah, if it had been a persistent bug for a while it would have made sense to issue RDTs. But if it's only been there for a month or so then no need

This bug was only for a month sinister was hitting like a truck before this bug so he will still be hitting like a bug after

I think the frustration (for me, at least) is more with Okoye. This will be their third “fix” being made to the champ, all of which have made her measurably worse.

Will she still be a cool champ, yes. But they shouldn’t have these disconnects between the design intent and the champ they actually ship.
