Why people were angry at the Livestream...

1. Dark Pheonix - You are putting an untested champion as the final 'powerful" champion, which is questionable, but could be fine. What's definitely not fine is that you've removed the cosmic champion from the crystal in order for her to be final milestone. Having less new champs in this crystal means its overall value is significantly lower than the omega days crystal. Not only that, but a year later the 7 star basic pool has much less value for most people than it did prior. Also, locking a "potent defender" behind 36k units doesn't sit well for obvious reasons. That's all very shady if you're keeping the price the same as last year, and will compound problem 2.

2. RNG insanity - I and many others were under the impression that the box gotcha system was aimed at doing away with the pain points involved in spending 36k units on RNG crystals, but you decided to take the less fair option. Everyone is going to love their 5 Apocalypse dupes, just like they loved their Sandman dupes. With only 5 heroes in the crystal, bad luck will be far more punishing and good luck will be less beneficial.

3. Magik Nerf - You say you're putting Magik in the game, then you bait and switch by announcing it's a nerfed version that will be added next year?

4. Twitch drops Bugged Again

5. War "Thing" - A lot of players consider war the only game mode that doesn't need a major change, and would rather you focus in other areas of the game. After raids being so unpopular people are apprehensive about a war change.

I'm trying to stay positive and open minded, but this being the livestream that follows a soft boycott might indicate what level of trust we should have in the game team.

If someone wants to get dark pheonix they have to spend 38k or something units. I don't have problem with her being a trophy. But it's a shady move for them to not have a cosmic champ in the crystal for apparently no reason.

I mean if they thought cgr and hulking are too strong (yes they are) they just could've included galan in there and someone else in the titan, along with dark pheonix as a trophy champ for this sale or for j4/banquet. I mean, that's what I think the most sensible option they had.

The most significant and impactful update was about radiance.
All the monetary stuff, i could care less about.

Radiance will be rewarded to skilled and resourceful players.

1. Lower than the omega days crystal? You realize that the champs in this one are not only better, but considering that they are fewer you have a better chance of getting the one you want?
2. This was never a gacha box event- they never even insinuated such. You got your hopes up for no reason and got disappointed for equally little reason. And just like last year, there's a selector if you go all the way in milestones.
3. Magik in her current state would be unfair as a 7 star, both offensively and defensively, so they're reworking her. They made sure to mention that it would still be a 'powerful' kit so she certainly isn't going to be bad. Think of it like the cyclops buff- new model, new kit, maybe even new animations.

5. They're changing a lot of things so clearly this isn't splitting their focus much. Besides it's just for one season to get the reception.

You seem like the furthest thing from positive if this is all you had to take away from the stream. There was so much good stuff for the present and future updates that there's now way you could consider it a net negative just cuz of these points

They announced valiant EQ, updates to SQ are being worked on, new champs look great, buffs are on the way, radiance is great and has amazing rewards, Magik was too strong to be released as a 7* so they’ve compromised and promised to make her great but not busted, the AW thing is just a test, and the heart of fire has some great champs

I’m also convinced no one has touched another gacha game or played any game outside mcoc. Unit grinds are easier than ever right now and 36k isn’t an unfair price. Most F2P players can grind this out pretty fast. Kabam making it unit based is huge and there is a selector to get your favorite

What’s the issue here? I’m genuinely so confused how a community can be so incredibly negative about literally anything kabam does. They do something great? Nah it’s still bad and Kabam bad and the game team is bad. I’ve always called Kabam out when they do silly things and I have numerous posts that critique the state of the game but even when they turn it around and are open people are still mad

I couldn’t agree more. All I’ve seen are posts complaining. This livestream addressed a lot of things this community has wanted over the past several months (radiance in aq/aw, valiant eq, etc.) and not to mention, the most champ reveals I think I’ve ever seen in a livestream. And this is more subjective, but I’m so stoked for both versions of phoenix. I think I need to take break from the forum, cause it’s sapping my excitement for this months’ events

I still think Hulkling is fair to release if theyre releasing some of the others in the pool. Tigra for e.g. does more matchups and a lot quicker than him in BGs

I still think Hulkling is fair to release if theyre releasing some of the others in the pool. Tigra for e.g. does more matchups and a lot quicker than him in BGs
