If you have the units or cash - Max Heart of Fire? or save for July 4th?

I painstakingly saved 42k units - some bought. Most grinded for.

I can likely max one event.
Looking back at last year, Omega days netted 1 r3 and most of the champs (guaranteed 3).

July offers had weapon x, 2 selectors, and 2x r3 rank up gems. So twice the rank ups and less champs. You could argue weather weapon x is more useful or exclusive. The offers were on par.

But this year Heart of Fire is LIT. I mean Fury (likely duped), FAM and Tigra are worth the price of admission alone, but then they went on and added dark Phoenix! And one will be r4… I thought of skipping this but am definitely reconsidering.

July offers will likely have 2-3 titan nexus, a 2024 selector, 2-3 r4 rank up materials or gems, and I assume a dupe for weapon x and maybe Jessica. Also a generic AG.

But phoenix and the rest… will not return any time soon. arrrggghhh!

Fury is my favorite champ in the game to use so I will do this event until I get him awakened. I feel having him rank 4 at the end of this while maybe also getting an awakened Tigra or Fant Man is just a huge bonus for me.

This event comes with champion guarantees, July 4th will come with rank up guarantees. I guess it depends on what your priority is right now. But if you're already in grind mode for units, then it shouldn't be too hard to get yourself a good stash by the 4th.

If you really want some of the HOF champs, then I think 6 months from now you'll regret missing out on those much more than missing out on whatever J4 offers (titans, rank-up gems, etc.).

But if you're not really gung ho about the HOF champs, then it's an easy decision to skip the event since even the rank up resources will be limited to using them on those champs.

Heart of fire. Rare champs in the crystals that won’t be available again for a long time based on precedent and an exclusive champ that has no return scheduled.

Sure you would get a selector on July 4th of some sort, but most likely the value is going to be rank up materials unless you hit some great RNG on some regular crystals. Take the champs.

You’re about right. If I whale out and left with 5k units, I’ll have 22k by July 4th. That’s my usual grind estimate. That is, however, 400 dollars short of maxing July deals. And that’s a hefty sum for most.
So it’s a matter of strategy and choice, really. I can effectively max only one event if I want to stay married.

No need to stress about maxing out everything on every event.

It depends on what you want. I personally like having an expansive roster than more rankups, which is why I focused on the selectors and crystals for red and dead’s discount shed. I want Fury, Fant, and hopefully Dark Phoenix, so I’m going to spend on this event to get the characters I want even if July 4th would have better priced deals.

it depends what you want but generally these champs are harder to get than resources so id lean HOF.

ranks reset every year so if you miss out on big resource sales it’s not the end of the world. if by the end of the year megawhales have 80r4s and you “only” have 40, are you really missing out? imo no.

I feel statically that after a couple months the games economy progresses so much that while when j4 happens, it’s insane, but then in December it looks mid, I personally would whale out on the HoF , these champs are likely gonna take a while to be released into any other pool, MAYBE a crystal you can buy with radiance , but that’s the only way I see it happening , all of them are just insanely busted to the point where letting them run all throughout the game isn’t gonna work for kabam , they didn’t even wanna release a cosmic 7* because all of them are so busted

You can probably get two or more of the champions by only spending around 5k units. 2 from guaranteed 7* crystals and possibly more from rng crystals.

Yeah agreeing with the general sentiment here, God knows when we’ll get another chance at a 7* fantman, nick and tigra or even if we ever will again.

Rank up resources like t7B will depreciate, maxing out July 4th may bank you a guaranteed 2024 champion and maybe a few rank 4s but as said by the time we get closer to cyber deals July 4th will look mid and there’ll be no chance again to get these god tier champs

FTP arena grinder here and July 4th is the event that I have passed on the last 2 years. Barring some insane offers this summer, it will probably be 3 straight years. Even if you pull in the 90-100K units all year, still have to pick and choose now, can't have it all.

The fact that this event is rng and not a gacha box system(which is much better imo) makes it a pass for me. Imagine pulling ibom or apoc 3 times. That possibility alone is making me lean more towards July 4th. 1 guaranteed HoF champ selector and Dark Pheonix does not make up for the rng crystals imo.

They can go out and scavenge in the wilds. Sell it as a great bonding exercise for your kids and your wife.

Jokes aside, I'd at least start to spend on this event and see who I pick up. I don't care enough about Dark Phoenix to go all-in just for her, but I'd love to pick up Fury and Fantman. Tigra and iBom are cool too, but again, I wouldn't dump all of my units just to get them. But Fury and Fantman? Mommy/daughter bonding time!

However, I think of it this way: big sales that guarantee rank-up resources give an advantage for a few months before those resources start to really flood the game. Meanwhile, big sales that guarantee (more or less; I don't know the specifics) certain champions offer an advantage that doesn't equal out nearly as quickly as resources. The champions from last year's event are still not available in the basic pool (right?). With a few exceptions, these types of champion pools tend to stay exlusive for about a year. They may pop up in a crystal here and there between now and next year, but assuming that they follow the same pattern as similar pools in the past, I doubt we'll see them widely available for quite a while. As such, I would argue that this type of event is way more beneficial longterm than something like July 4th.

If you really want some of the HOF champs, then I think 6 months from now you'll regret missing out on those much more than missing out on whatever J4 offers (titans, rank-up gems, etc.).

I’ve half as many units and have held onto a ton of R3/4 materials and AGs to see how HoF shakes out. I will likely go for at least one guaranteed HoF 7* and maybe two.

While the 7/4 deals are often solid, the champs for HoF are almost all phenomenal champs (much more so than Omega Days, which were very good) and may not be available except rarely after this event.

That’s my reasoning thus far. Seeing the actual milestones may change my thought process.

Some of these champions have held their ground for 5 years now, they absolutely will have value by the time cyber weekend comes around. Not sure how well 4th July deals will though. Go all in on HoF now if you can, is my recommendation

Life will go on as it does without having any of them. You’ll still be able to do high end content and play competitive BG’s without them.

Sure, if you have the Units or the cash, feel free to do what you like…but I’ll be passing this event and await July 4 ‘deals.’

I agree. I can handle any game contents with what I have already. So, it’s just another new champ for me. I don’t regret not having any of the champs in the last year’s pool, either. Don’t get me wrong. It’s nice to have Nick Fury or Future Ant-man, but I can live without them.

I have the units for both this event and July 4, but I won’t be spending much, if any. I just don’t spend in these events. The only time I bought all offers was the July 4 event 2-4 years ago when they had crazy rank up deals. That event was account-changing.
