Recently I've pulled several god tier 6 stars that would have been game-changing back in the day, but might not be as good now that I'm pushing Valiant and getting more 7*s. These 6 stars include Fantman, awakened Nick Fury, Dr. Doom, Human Torch, Mole man, Mr. Sinister, and Venom. Are any of these still worth upgrading for single-player content? In general, what are the 6 stars who are still relevant today?

Unless you are spending on the heart of fire event, most of those champs will be 6 star locked for a very long time. So, yes, it is worth it to upgrade those champs (except venom, he’s in the base 7 star pool)

Are there any champs that are available as a 7* but are good enough to get upgraded as a 6*? Champs like onslaught, for example, I may never get as a 7*

It's a tricky spot using rankup resources on a 6* that's also a 7*. That said, as you mentioned, there's no guarantee you'll pull them as a 7*. Especially as the 7* base pool expands. If those champs you're talking about can immediately help you in content, I think its silly not to rank them up. As you progress, those resources become more accessible allowing for more rankups & crystals to be opened
