Anyone noticing the weird absence of t4a in the prize pools?

This came up first in 9.2. 9.2 offered a total of 5.36 t4a between exploration, completion and path rewards. There was no 2-3 gem to serve as a stand-in for t4a, and presumably four of those t4a would be burned on a r4 champ, leaving only 1.36. That’s less than half of what you need for a r3.

Now valiant EQ rewards have come out, and I don’t think the rewards displayed in the stream included any t4a either. It’s not in TB EQ or gauntlet. The paragon challenge objective has always just been dust.

Right now we get a small monthly objective - 10%, and we’re left to get the entirety of our t4a from war and BG season rewards, inflated glory store prices, or spending BG trophies.

I’m sure the t7b firehose being turned on means it takes up a lot of the reward pool, value wise, but has anyone else noticed this gap? It seems weird that the current chase resource is more plentiful than the one before it.

I use all my BG trophies for t4a and 6-star relic shards, maxing out both each week, and don’t buy anything else.

Maybe there didn’t show all the rewards. Or the tier 4 alow was meant to be tier 4 aplha

If you take it every day, you get just under half of one per week, yes.

That means 3000 glory, 20,000 trophies per week and every DSE selector yields a total of 1.15 per week right now, and that’s while never choosing any other selector items. Plat3 war gets one catalyst every 6 weeks at the moment. BGs top 10% gets 15% every 5 weeks. So my average catalyst intake is 4 catalysts every 3 weeks, plus a small once-a-month objective that doesn’t meaningfully change that number. It seems out of balance.

Yeah it definitely feels like T4A demand is stripping it’s supply, especially when factoring in R4 champions. 9.2 was weird for me, felt like it should at least give 3 for completion and the 4 needed for a R4 at exploration but whatever. We went through this with T6B and T3A and eventually when it got really bad they just plummeted it’s value to 0, hopefully this doesn’t happen with T4A as we go into R4 and (far away but still on the horizon) R5 7* champions, and instead they integrate T4A as a good semi-chase reward (as they have managed to do so very well with T6CC)

Anyone who's been playing long enough knows that's there's always an imbalance of a newer catalyst especially when the next highest one drops. It's done that way for a reason to force you to choose to make the maximum effort in use. Give it time though and eventually you'll wonder why you have 10 in your stash about to expire.

I would get your point, except these resources don’t overlap.

The DSE selectors are on separate tiers.

T7b isn’t in the glory store.

T7b isn’t in the BG store.

They are in the radiance store though. Which is basically a combined glory/bg store.
