Any confirmation if steam deck will work at all for pc?

I know that some anti cheat doesn’t work on steam deck, wasn’t sure if this would be one of them.

You think they are going to confirm that information

Some of the devs do have steam decks, they never confirmed if they tried it though.

I get that but your title and your question are not of the same your title asks if steam deck will work your question is more towards sounding if the anti cheat system will work with steam deck which that part they are not going to come out and say yes our anti cheat will work or no it wont cause then that will give the modders green light to cheat and exploit

You’re not getting the point, some anti cheat systems work with steam deck, some don’t. Depending the one they used, will determine if the pc version of the game will work on steam deck. That’s all I’m asking is if any of the devs tested to see if the game will play on it. I don’t know where you got modding from this? All I asked is if it will play on a popular handheld computer.

The question itself came acrossed as if you were asking if the anti cheat system will work on it or not why i said the title and your question didnt quite match why i said they will not come out and say the anti cheat system will work or not and thats why i said they would not confirm that cause then modders would know they can cheat on that system thats why i brought them up yeah im sure they would confirm if it works or not but thats all they would confirm

My interpretation of the OP question is either 1 of 2 ways (still not sure exactly what is being asked).

    1. Will game on Steam even run on PC.
Would assume so, since they are planning on releasing it on Steam for PC.

    2. OK, maybe you’re asking “once they implement a certain type of Anti-Cheat system in game, to run on Steam, what if Steam will NOT allow certain Anti-cheat code to be out into apps that would run on their platform” ??

That's sort of implying that Steam has a vested interest in certain companies that make Cheating Systems, and so would not want games running on their platform that would render those Cheating systems detectable.

That when MCOC is submitted for approval by Steam (actually, not sure it works like that, just trying to correlate it to something similar where Apple/Google have to give approval for something to show in their App Stores), that Steam would deny it if they see that MCOC contains anti-cheat systems, either in downloaded software directly, or if detectable that it would be something on back-end servers of Kabam.

Don’t even know what to say about that one.

Yeah i mean if i was op i would have just put something like can i get some clarification if mcoc would run on steam deck that whole other part just made it confusing to me anyway

    Oh, Nevermind some of that.

Steam Deck == separate handheld gaming unit “I won't even call it a computer, but others may”, like a Nintendo Switch.

Guess OP's question makes more sense. (except for “will work for PC”, which is confusing).

    (don't know though)

The steamdeck IS a handheld gaming PC. You can dock it and use it for work if you want, same way you dock a laptop.

Problem is, its operating system ‘steamOS’ is Linux, not windows, and many anti cheat software is not supported for it.

I also have a steamdeck an would like to know 🙂

This, looking into steamdb it looks like they use “easy AC”, which I believe at that point it’s up to the devs to enable steam deck support so hopefully it works.
