How the hell am I supposed to hoard 40k units? This was unexpected that kabam to put Dark phoenix behind a paywall. Do I need to start hoarding units and only save it for banquet when there is different type of offers that gives rank up Materials that is needed? I’m confused and don’t know what to do anymore.
Well, I think that's the intent. Kabam chose not to reveal that Dark Phoenix was the milestone champ until very close to the event, and they did it for a simple reason: to drive impulse spending.
Why would they have told us in advance? That would've allowed preparation and resource management. No, keep it a surprise, because that way they remove the window for rational planning so players are more likely to act on emotion and FOMO.
This is literally what you're feeling and yes, it was intentional.

I'll see what can I get with 27k unit plus whatever it is we get from the smaller solo events. If all I need is another 100 bucks I'll go for that succulent Dark Phoenix lml

Yep. I had the units last year but skipped and went all on j4 because the champs didn't excite me enough. This year I'm all on on this event. Having to wait a year (and then how long it may take to pull from a basic) for these champs seems way to long a wait.

Kabam already said it’s the same unit cost as Omega Days - here’s a breakdown though!

I just spent 27,900 units and I'm sitting at 240 points. Something is off.

As others have noted, the graphic is only for the main event. There is both a participation event with some free crystals, and an Uncollected+ event with more champions/materials. The cost for the milestones is exactly the same as last year for milestones with the same points.
Can you confirm that these champs will not return for a very long time? The pool from last years event have not returned yet, so id assume the same. But DLL in a youtube video seems to state otherwise which contradicts what Karate Mike said in another thread about them being exclusive to HoF.

Given the steep cost of the event, and that you get substantially less sigs, crystals, AG, rank 4 materials etc than July 4 or Cyber would give , the primary appeal 8s exclusivity , so if these champs were to return in say banquet this year, it would nullify the incentive of investing the units now
The five champions in the Heart of Fire crystal will be handled the same way as the Omega Days champions.

Dark Phoenix was a trophy created for this event and there are no plans to source her anywhere else. I'm not saying it will NEVER happen, but right now I personally am assuming this is the only place to get her.

Appreciate the Transparency on this @Kabam Crashed.

Its good to know that players who invest the steep amount of units needed for this event dont have to second guess it on the champs returning in a future event, since even the Omega Days champs have been very exclusive.

So there are more points to be earned from the Sunstorm event - HoF Paragons give 1 point towards the Phoenix Force event as well. Did you auto-fight Road to the Labyrinth to get HoF Cavs from the Moonshot event, open those HoF Cavs to get points in the Sunstorm event, and thus get/open HoF Paragons from the Sunstorm event for points in the Phoenix Force event?

Yeah I was 600 units off. I planned for 100 points to get guaranteed 7 star and had 5300 before event but fell 600 units short when it came down to it. There were a few other threads saying the same

Divide 376/2 and that will tell you how many you need at 2 points per crystal did it and you need 188 crystals to get the 376

A very humble feedback of humble players. The discussion with my wife (also Valiant) yesterday morning:

- I: « Will you do the Heart of Fire, the Omega Days event of this year? »
- She: « What are the champions of this pool? »
- I: « Fury, Apo, New Abo, Future Ant-Man and Tigra. »
- She: « No one interest me. What do we get in the milestones? Some materials for [7*] rank 4 or 3? »
- I: « No. Only for a [7*] rank 2. And some dust to ascend 6*. And gems for HoF. »
- She: « Did you do it and how many units did you spend? »
- I: « Only some 6*, a lot of 5* and iso. For the 7* HoF crystal, I got Tigra… For 5700 units. No luck. »

Then she opened all the free Cavalier HoF crystals, and then the free 14 Paragorn HoF crystals.

- She: « Only 5* and 3 6*. Definitely no. I keep the units for better offers. »

The fact is that the milestones rewards are not reflecting the need of any Valiant in 2025.
I hesitated to spend units. I was wrong, she is right: keep units for something sure and help the player to progress.

The 34 crystals were Cav crystals which gave points in the UC+ event but not the Paragon+ event. Only points are given for paragon and valiant crystals.

Or did they increase it this year so that top progressions actually started out with 34x of the Paragon crystals instead (giving you an added boost to your “starting point” in the 7* milestones track) ?

Others have said it would cost 5700 more Units (plus the extra free Units from milestones) to hit the 1st guarantee 7* HoF crystal, but somehow I was calculating it as 6900 ? (I think I accounted for all the Milestone Units)

It was the same as last year, Cav crystals for everyone. You’re probably not counting some of the paragon crystals that were earned through milestones.

It was the same as last year, Cav crystals for everyone. You’re probably not counting some of the paragon crystals that were earned through milestones.

Thx, yep, accounted for earlier pts from milestone crystals, but not the ones past where I currently am (at the end of FREE point so far).

So, 5700 (pre-event units) for 7* HoF crystal
10,800 for (2x) 7* HoF Rankup 1->2 gem
11,700 for second 7* HoF crystal (from parallel event milestone)
*12,600 for 6* (2x so Dup'd) Dark Phoenix (also from parallel event milestone)
(* technically only 12,450 if you're not going any further, lesser CAV crystal rounds it out instead of a greater Paragon at end)

Noting those 2 extra (just a little bit more) milestones from the parallel SunStorm Event because they weren’t included in an earlier chart of the Main (Phoenix Force) Event.

so now that HoF is out and omega days champs are one year old, are you adding the omega days 7 stars to the basic pool?
