Health Lost Persisting in Valiant gauntlet?

I'm sorry was I just majorly stupid and didn't read properly on the valiant gauntlet or do they really expect you to run through 15 fights at near perfect health especially with this ai? Even crucible wasn't that bs

So I'm going through quest 1 of the valiant gauntlet, mystic only so I play through the karnak fight with my kindred and it's a fine fight nice control but I get tired and eat a heavy at the end of the fight. "No biggie" I thought, the fights over and I only use him for one fight anyhow, swap him out with hood to fight jabari and notice that hood starts the fight at the same kindred finished off. "Weird" I thought maybe it's some sort of ability accuracy thing, finish the jabari fight but intentionally get smacked to lower my health, go to the third fight and swap in Mordo, and he also starts with the health that hood finished on

Unless this is a bug (which update day not surprised) but idk going through 15 fights with one class and having to swap every time is tough as is, factoring in persistent health loss is borderline sadistic to me, but I don't know maybe I'm overreacting

I guess that might be the "challenge" aspect of it, considering they are giving a fair chunk of t7b, and It's supposed to be the hardest difficulty. Wouldn't be surprised if it is a bug though

Fair shout, it could easily be that, but I think if such a challenge was gonna be included, it would have been nice to know about prior (again Unless it was and I missed it somewhere)

Like crucible, which the rewards are pretty decent especially when it came out didn't do this.

So unless it was said in the livestream somewhere I don't know how you would know

Just use a champ with regen abilities once in a while. There are also multiple defenders, like jabari, where you can take advantage of willpower as well

They ain't gonna let you breeze through this

Just tried it and the fights are easy, at least on the first quest
I even used some 5 stars
You shouldn’t lose more than 5% per fight and you can use a champ that can regen once in a while to top up

I used my 5* nick to heal to full by using his second life and immediately killing the opponent.

Bro use potion and revive to complete it. They are giving more than half T7B. So it should be a bit difficult and resource consuming I guess.

But one thing I noticed they told that is there will be 2000 AG shards but it is actually 1500. Other things are fine. If this quest take resources then I will spend to complete it..

I think people are misconstruting my point. Yes I breezed through it, I finished it within an hour or two, my problem was no where was it written down that the health loss would persist, if it was said in the livestream sure, but something this important to the quest should have been in the recap or the release notes, which they weren't, especially because some people have no time to sift through a 90minute live stream and usually just read the recap.

I'm a valiant with 3 rank 4s and 15 rank 3s and I forget how many rank 2s, this wasn't a hard challenge just annoying to me where a specific detail is left out of the notes because to me it's disingenuous clarity.

The health loss isn't the worse thing in the world, especially if you're lucky and a lot of your top champs directly benefit from the class nodes, it just means you got to strategize a lot more on who you bring for which fight.

The best thing about this crucible type format is it forces me deeper into the roster than I would normally need to go and i found I actually enjoyed some champs I've never used.

It's still event quest, just designed for Valiant players.
In event quest, you don't get full health after each fight, why should you in this scenario?

Dude, doing testing i was using 5*'s. It's not that deep, nor even close to hard.
If I can use 5*'s to get through the first 3 fights, I'm sure you'll be ok.

If we would get Health back with every swap it would be way to easy. Some paths you dont need a revive and on some I needed a few but for those rewards that fights are actually an easier difficulty than expected, so be thankful

Like someone else said, you can use 5* champs on this. If you don’t have 15 champs across 5/6/7 stars to complete then maybe stick to Thronebreaker eq until you do.

If you’re having trouble when there’s a fight you can do with a 5* or low level 6* after you’ve won and before moving, add more health to the champion. It’ll take fewer health pots to increase there health, then swap for your 7*

At a certain point though people need to accept it’s there roster (or skill) not the game. It’s Valiant difficulty eq not, auto fight walkthrough EQ.

Far away from reality? This was meant for the highest progression title in the game. Not having 15 champs down to the 5 star level is a problem if you’re valiant. It’s meant to be a challenge, and even then it was wayyyyy easier than any recent content release (9.2, Epoch, Ordeal…etc)

The ai is whack and so having to constsntly play perfectly for 15 fights takes the piss a bit tbh…

strategy issue. You can heal in fights with some champs... e.g. in first class, I got down to 30% after a mistake, so I bought in BWCV next fight and stuck to a SP2-heal rotation... ended the fight at 97% health and moved on.

Save your nick and 2nd life to heal with skill path

A few other good ways to heal out there with other classes... you just need to be cunning in your planning (and have the right champs)...

or use a couple health potions. It is what they are for, and you get them every day for free.

It was said in the stream. But even if it hadn't been, it's not a new thing. Full healing is not the 'default' for choice nodes, some do while others don't, and I think anticipating a full heal after every single fight, in EQ of all places, is pretty unrealistic
