As an almost launch player, I've read every bit of dialogue and I like the attempts of the team to knit it all together, adding humour and at times gravitas.
The latest 9.2 dialogue with doom and Herbie is brilliant and I can't wait to see if Mr Fantastic does turn out to be a villain!
The monthly EQ dialogue ties into the wider story quest dialogue. For the last 6 months or so I've only played the monthly, for the story.
With the new valiant version, I was hoping that there would be a version that had updated rewards, but also allowed the story to shine through. I don't want to have to play another version, purely for the story.
I appreciate that the power gamers, who play this purely to win a fighting game, don't care about the story. For those of us playing for the RPG elements and marvel wrapper, the story is a core part of the game.
If this could be added in, with perhaps a skip option at the start for the power gamers (or even opt in option for those wanting to read it), it would be great.
The team have gone to great lengths to create this content and story, which is woven into a 9 year long, overarching, narrative, it's a huge shame that it's not been included in what will now be the main monthly content that most long term players, play.
