You're going to need to play around with them both and decide for yourself. BUT in my very similar situation I took Nefaria to R4 mainly because Silk is still a nuke at R3. Nefaria, I think, benefits more from awakening because he can steal healing and even cause damage to healing opponents. Silk just gets a slow and heal block from it, but both are short lived unless the opponent is cornered.

I have both at R3, my Silk is not awakened and my Count is Sig 60.

They both have completely different functions. Count is probably the better champ, Silk is more fun to play. Her sig adds the Slow (I haven't really missed it).

I'll probably R4 Nef before Silk, even if I dupe her. I wouldn't put a gem on her, but I probably would on Nef.

I prioritize utility typically and for that reason I go with Nefaria. Same scenario for me between the two and I actually r4d my Nefaria and awakened him.

Not sure why ppl hype up nefaria, I have him awakened at R3, ppl told me to R3 him but I haven’t found a use for him yet, too many good science champs, not sure what he excels at

Nefaria handles way more because of his control

He also basically cannot die so defo worth it. Nobody speaks about it much but his resistances are insane. In ionic overcharge he’s more tanky than abs man but with energy and physical resistance at the SAME TIME
    He’s well worth it

Y'all hype nefaria a Lil too much. R4 silk literally destroys anything with a sp2. 30 second fights are a utility too.

Nefaria without a doubt. He has the best and most versatile toolkit in class. He also benefits from the rank up more than others because his base health and attack is lower than most.

Silk gets some utility from her dupe, that she can't access without it. It lets her handle some fights she couldn't without it.

Count Nefaria gets easier access to utility from his dupe, but .... he can essentially access the same utility just by spamming SP1 and staying in overcharge. I still feel perfectly fine taking my unduped Count into power control matchups.

I’m sorry, but healing to full off a Serpent in AW is just hilarious. I LOVE them both though, and Silk’s “crazy stuff happens, I punch it” is a solid solution in most cases.

Choose Silk and no need to run. She will protect you.

    Low-key nefaria peaked at release
Is he the type who sacrifices utility for damage?
Cos ever since his release, I have barely seen any gameplay of him getting to that big damage that he was marketed to have during deep dive and initial videos.

Can he not play around nodes well? Cos anytime I see a nefaria being used its always a "slow and steady" fight in both war and BG.
I don't know much about him so I'm very surprised Cos I barely see gameplay of nefarias finishing battleground fights in decent time.

He's surely not the best in BGs but then excels everywhere else. I for one never judge a champ based on their BGs effectiveness because there's way more to the game than that one mode
