well played kabam..you just mastered this predatory tactic to the grandmaster level..claiming to improve rankings rewards in bgs and then releasing exclusive champs for units or $ only that wont be available for "a while" just shows that you never actually turned wanted to improve anything..what you dont realize is that people will play even less now considersing they dont have champs most people in bgs have now.I know you are business but you are over valuating current incomes over long term..people were already leaving..this is just one of those nails to the coffin..."trust me i'm engineer" 🤦 -- in case anyone doesnt know what fomo is - search "fear of missing out" - worst predatory tactic out there

I didn't miss out. I got all 6 champs 🤷.

But seriously none of these champs are broken on defence with the possible exception of dark phoenix (I don't know, I haven't fought her yet) and you can just ban her. Fury and FAM both have plenty of existing counters in the game already

Did everybody refuse to play bgs when the 6* versions were still viable on defence?

I play on celestial level..difference in using 6* or 7* champs from hof there are like going for a skiing in summer..I understand that people playing on low levels might not feel this issue but just wait for it

If you’ve got the skill level to reach celestial, champs with plenty of existing counters won’t be presenting much of a problem.

A Celestial player should have no problem dealing with any of them, at best, one ends up rank 4 now, all have hard counters.

I'm normally high mysterium, and can confirm, this will heavily affect casual spenders that haven't got all these champs.. your normal 3 bans, plus seeing R4 nicks and dark phoenix has just put us further behind for literally, just not spending as much, I dropped 2 Odin's and only got fant man and a a ton of 5 stars, so going forward, I won't ever spend on anything R&G ever again, just your guaranteed buys like July 4th.. ide rather spend on my kids than dropping over a grand on some champs... That's where I sit, I agree with Op

I've actually never seen so many people playong BGs before. I get matches instantly at all hours of the day. My alliance which usually barely plays has been about 3x more active. The radiance store and the VT rewards have been a huge success.
Dark Phoenix is just one champ and the top Celestial players are the same as past seasons.

I think it because of the EIDOL and Phoenix components for getting to GC this season, and the fact that a lot of folks made it GC last season for the same reason and are now already there again due to the bug this season.

Couldn't get myself to spend my $15.7k units esp for these champs. Not too excited except for FAM or Nick and even if I get them (chances are low) it would only make me less happy since all of my units would be gone lol. I would spend my units and a bit of cash if I can get a 7* hulkling or kate but that is far off in the future

I think for VT participation it's the buffed rewards.
For GC participation it's the radiance, which is basically like having access to an ATM as far as the game is concerned.
The BGs went from the neglected mode to being the top mode. HUGE success by Kabam, and they capitalized on it immediately with the Red Guardian and HOF sales.
Sure, there are some bitter snakes grumbling here and there, but it's basically a party and you're either invited or you're not.
And to clarify, these are my observations. I personally don't care either way.

Ehhh, It wasn't a gatcha system so kabam lost me. I really don't care about this event. Wanted tigra so just did some research on the event a few minutes ago and the cost of maxing and all I can say is "I'll Live".

I'm saving my units AND CASH for the "GATCHA BOX SYSTEM" FOR THE 2025 BANQUET EVENT THAT WILL HAVE 7STAR HULKING AND GHOST IN IT.
