Congratulations Kabam, you guys probably made bank on this HoF event. Everyone and their mum seems to have a r3/r4 Dark Phoenix.
That's a slight exaggeration, but this is the first time I've seen so many profiles immediately showing up with the highest rank of the latest purchaseable champ. She's literally everywhere. Bgs, war, forums, and even global chat. Everywhere I go, I see her face.
You've just unleashed a "4.5/5" defender on us and there's literally nowhere for us to even practice against her (outside duels which isn't the best representation of a bg/war fight imo). She's landed straight into PVP before PVE. You've thrown us right into the deep end, thanks for that. Sure, counters for her already exist in the game: Hood, abs, iceman, quicksilver, shathra, etc. to name a few, and her animations are the same as the old phoenix we know. But again, it's a whole new kit and we're going to be punching up in most cases. It will no doubt take some getting used to. Trial by fire, more like trial by nova flame.
That aside, I'm fairly optimistic (maybe it's cope), I've got a war Dark Phoenix boss coming up and I get to flex my r4 white tiger and dunk on her (hopefully it's not the other way around). She's not the best counter but it should work out, idk. I'll let you know how that goes.

White tiger isn't too bad for Dark Phoenix, she can mitigate the nova flames if you can time it correctly with her sp2 (it has a lot of quick hits), and her bleed stopped the immortality regen like a charm. You still take a bit of nova flame dmg though, finished the fight with ~80% health (started with 100%).
