So I am going for the nebula tech and science path and have few questions:-
1 :- Is sentry necessary ? And if yes will a 6* r3 be enough
2 :- Is there a better tech / science champ then than photon for Ares ?

6* sentry is fine. Damage comes from debuffs so you want him to stay alive as long as possible, consider throwing a green or red boost at him.

I did it with a 5* Sentry, so the 6* r3 is good enough.
Used Luke for Ares, I don't have Photon - he can do some path fights as well
