Opinions on Dark Phoenix

Defensively, she doesn't look very impressive. I saw at least 3 counters video to her already: Hood, Arch Angel, and Absorption Man.

But offensively, she looks very powerful.

I feel Hercules is the same. Defensively, he's alright but offensively, he's great.

So what's ur opinion on her?
Would u compare her to Hercules or someone lower down?

Forgot to mention, her health regeneration is great.

2 of the counters you listed are 6 star locked, so they won't do much against a 7 star rank 4 Dark Phoenix.

For being threatened with the next Serpent by alot of players who jumped the gun, she's really not all that defensively. I've been having good luck with Deathless Guilly, who doesn't really do anything but damage. A bit of regen luck to coop back any damage taken from nova flames here and there.

Shathra and Kindred are her best counters. Or anyone with high energy resist, or nova flame immunity

She's a Maestro level defender so I wouldn't say she's meh, without a top counter it's a guaranteed round won. With that being said she isn't Serpent level or a 4.5/5 I'd say it's more of a 4/5.

Also Hercules is broken for other reasons not BGs, so no.

She definitely isn’t Serpent level, but is solid. That said, I also think she is a better attacker than what folks originally thought - although clearly not a top tier nuke. Honestly I like her more because she is a bit of a dual threat.

Tigra also takes her down pretty effectively.

She is a defensive threat absolutely, yes there are counters but there are also plenty of counters to serpent also, it’s the same thing if you don’t have a counter you’re dead, but this meta also favoured a lot of counters for her, I.e Archangel isn’t taking her when the meta changes

cgr would do r4 phoenix in the same time as his last 3 hits of 2nd sp2 are all overkill, he's the fastest dp counter if u can push her to sp2 as sp1 stalls him and he takes extra nova damage as shown in the image with longer time.

Certainly agree she has counters and this meta let her be neutralized a bit more. Every tougher defender can become easier or harder with the meta. She will be no different.

Not that important, if they have a counter even that sig 200 won't stop her from getting nuked and if they don't then even at sig 20 they would've lost. you do however want her awakened so she gains a charge at 5 embers, that part is in my opinion important for defense as well as the unblockable specials cause 9 times out of 10 your final blow pushes her to sp2 and it's hard to dex.

speaking of mojo, i kinda want him to get a similar treatment to serpent and newer champs where you get a few bonus charges at the start of the fight in battlegrounds. It is a problem for most persistent charges based champ as well. Plus, mojo isn't that serious of a threat on defense as well, as we have so many OP science attackers, so that kind of treatment will make him much more viable.

When the Meta changes, many of the Mystic class will not perform as well as they have over the past two weeks. Her counters will likely take her down, but not as quickly, so they will be taking a lot more damage.

You mean the practice mode where dark phoenix has 200,000 (at minimum) less health than she has in battlegrounds or war? With no nodes? Yeah ok pal. Also, you can get her completely ftp with units

Just forcing people to put 6* Abs and AA in their decks is a W for her I guess.

It is lol I have both in my deck right now and I was forced to remove two r3s just so I could deal with her cause unfortunately no Diablo or Hood.

Nah not even close, she is better than Maestro in my opinion tho and she is dual threat. I have removed Maestro from my deck since I got her.

She's like 10x the defender Herc is,
But I'm surprised that Kabam is letting their defender get ran over by AA in 2025 because almost all the new defenders have bleed poison parry immunity of some kind.

I agree. He has some uses on BG offense, but often times he takes very long. He can absolutely take difficult cosmic defenders like serpent or Maestro and now DP with alot of HP left but often loses to time

I think it’s quite cheap to release a champ who has practically unavoidable damage- immortality phase. Thankfully there seem to be decent counters but just based on kit she seems even more unfair logically than serpent
