Help understand Pre-fights

So I was toying a bit with Serpent under the Odin pre-fight which applies an aptitude buff + the Thor relic.
After the first fight I thought to try and apply the other two pre-fight buffs to a different champ and it worked.
Now, do all pre-fight abilities that can apply multiple effects/buffs to the next champion work this way?
