But I won't be going through playing it until it's available on Steam.
Those that don't use Steam don't realize how it makes it so much easier to access everything and UPDATE seamlessly without any searching for the correct files and such.
If you've played PC games in early to mid 2000's you'd know how much of a pain updates were to find and get then install back then.
Steam just works and it's been doing it for Iver 20 years. They are the only platfory that is more pro-consumer than many other sites except GOG.
It was intentional haha. Wanted to give eagle-eyed folks time to download the launcher/game ahead of the flip being switched. Tune into the stream later for more info!
It will be later than the launch of the game on PC
How will it be released for PC (meaning on Steam) today, but yet it won’t be available for Steam until later this year ??
Just wait for livestream in couple hours, we shall see.
So what can you say now? Have you downloaded the game from Steam yet, lol?
Yep, my bad 😀 I admit. I was gonna reply back earlier saying so, but just left it.
Although still wondering as to why all the big deal about it being STEAM talk at first, when they were just gonna drop it as a standalone downloadable software too, in addition to (eventually) being on Steam (which I gather is similar to PlayStore, etc, but for PC ?).
Thought that it was gonna be a Steam platform requirement only, in order to help control hacked game files (or such)
How to install anti cheat. I think i didn't click on it cos there were multiple pop ups that I clicked "Enter" without reading might have been one of them. Just got free time to download on PC so might've been a bit too excited lol.
Do I have to uninstall and reinstall again? It already took ages
Just a heads up incase anyone from kabam reads this feedback. @KabamPinwheel
As someone who does IT (not that it matters) and has experience in prioritizing EASE OF USE in design, A simple "INSTALL" button right next to that exit button would have saved me THE LAST HOUR and a half OF MY ENTIRE LIFE I PROMISE.
I've ran through the entire program including running the EAC as an administrator and nothing changes, tried to open the setup (which still doesn't open). So im coming to the conclusion that there's no way to install the anti cheat WITHOUT UNINSTALLING at least that's what it seems to a regular player with no GAME DEVELOPMENT KNOWLEDGE.
I've had to re-download the entire game 3 times now and everytime I do it and uninstall, my total space decreases probably cos its leaving some additional junk in my system. I was at 86GB at the time of my first download now im downloading for the 3rd time with only 56GB left (not your fault, I probably need a deep clean anyways but that's besides the point).
A simple, INSTALL next to that EXIT button at that error screen would've solved ALL MY PROBLEMS. Don't just show the problem, show the solution. "Ohh the problem is you haven't installed an anti cheat, here's how to install the anti cheat..." would've saved me nearly 2 hours of my time and LIFE.

I'm honestly very annoyed now.
