Server load

To start with im an experienced endgame player, celestial bgs etc. I want to know if this has any weight because it doesnt make sense, midweek games for the most part I have great gameplay intercepts land etc but the second it hits around 5pm on Friday its like I dont know how to play constant failed intercepts, dropped inputs etc the amount of times I through my last hit to then special only for it not to register and then it hits the opponents block is insane. Now could this be because more players are online ? Causing server 'lag'?
