Really want that 7* stark spidey. CCP challenges advice

Hey everyone. I really want that 7* Stark spidey. I’m a decent player at the game. I have almost 10,000 units. Was looking to go after the CCP challenges. Do you think that’s enough? What’s the hardest part of the challenges? I can easily rank up tigra and mojo to rank 4 and 5. Have the sigs to max them out also.

I wouldn’t do that yet. They are recirculating saga champs and it does look like Spiderman 99, massacre, and sparky are at least on their radar (though Crashed said there are no firm plans yet.). I don’t think I would burn units at this stage…. Even those who completed all those challenges when they first came are still missing at least one of those champs. So there isn’t a player who wouldn’t be interested in these becoming available another way….

It depends on which challenges you’re talking about.

Lags’ challenges are both easy and you shouldn’t need many revives/pots at all. Unless you’ve never faced the act 7 Kangs before or something.

Mike’s challenges are a step up. You need all five avengers at 6r4 or above (IMO) to make it somewhat comfortable. But unless you’re a ninja, it’s still going to cost revives. The Zemo challenge isn’t bad but I wouldn’t call it easy or cheap, necessarily. Definitely want 6r5A for Zemo.

Finally, Fintech’s stuff seems like a different class of content entirely. I haven’t done them, but friends who have completed them said it’s not for the faint of heart. The Mojo quest seems especially punishing.

I agree with the other dudes, would not spend a unit on this until after July 4th.

Have you done any of them? The stark spidey ones are super easy and fun. The gauntlet ones are pretty easy if you have all the zemos and have the avengers ranked up. But they will take some revives. The hardest ones for sure are the mojo and tigra ones. You will have to play Tigra well, know how to space out her heavy, if you do those fights will go ok. Otherwise it can be a revive fest. Make sure to use jabari against modok, she does way better than tigra for that one.
Mojo was a lot more revives for me, but if you have him awakened and can ramp him up he will do some big damage. Warlock is still a pain because you can basically only damage him with sp1 after an intercept.

Tigra is manageable, if you like playing jabari. Just play tigra normally instead of trying any risky sh*t. A 7* r4 tigra can easily do most fights itemlees.

I would do it, but I did because of i'm a completionist.

I highly recommend max rank up all the characters needed, so it can by doable by someone as me eith below average skills... and past the half century. In fact, it can be even fun to do (although some fights will enervate you).

Once I do those I’m def going for Starky and massacre. I’ve always loved massacre and he can bypass a lot of nodes since you hit into block. His damage is ridiculous too

Spidey is by far the easiest. Just save up a bunch of revives just in case and then boost up and go through it

However, as others have recommended, I’m not burning a lot of units doing the runs until after July 4th to see what’s what. In the meantime I’m checking out strategies for the runs and ranking up the champs I need for the remainder of my runs. I’d suggest you consider the same approach.

I’ve wrapped up the two easier LAGs challenges and done Mike’s Avengers challenge, which was a good one. I’m ready to go for Zemo (have him across all * versions aside from 7* obviously, and also have taking my 6* up to 6*R5A and max sig). I’ve also been ranking up for Fintech’s challenges - haven’t duped my 7* Mojo so have R5A max sigged my 6*. Managed to pull and dup Tigra in the recent event, so now have my 7* at R3 and at sig 50. Jabari panther also as a duped 7*. So, I’ll be about as ready as I’m ever going to be post July 4th and if he doesn’t show up someplace in those offers I’ll go for it after the sales.,

If you have 11000 units and you are super desperate just get the arcade games nexus and hope for the Spidey in there

That would be in poor taste. These challenges kinda suck so there champions should remain locked behind them. I did them for Starky and it would be ridiculous if he's available through other means

If they are going to unlock deathless stuff in less than a year to let people get deathless Thanos, I think most would have a hard time arguing that these champs should stay forever locked. It’s the way the game is and has always been. People who completed it early have reaped the rewards while those who haven’t didn’t…. But then the time comes these items or champs become easier to obtain,

That’s why I say, we are at the threshold here where it may not make sense to kill yourself in CCP for one champ. Since there are 3, you may get one from other means but still need to get the challenges done to get the other two.

Yeah I’ll definitely wait till after the July 4th offers. I’ve ranked up the avengers for that challenge. Need to rank Tigra and ascend her.

I think it really just depends on your skill level.
When I was looking at the House of Zemo challenge, there were some users who were saying it took them like 40 revives.
That is desperate and reckless imo.
But if you can get these done with reasonable skill, and you really want Starky, then I say just go for it.
He will not be in any j4th selector, I would bet a fortune on that.

I have done them twice. So at your progression, I wouldn't recommend you to dive into those at all, unless you rilli rilli rilli rilli rilli want starky.

There's another thing. People have used units to buy champs with 9k units, People have spent more units to get other champs opening various crystals to get one champ.
So you dropping 10k units isn't that unreasonable in a big picture. It won't cost you 10k units but it will cost you.

Lemme compare CCP carinas with:
3* cyclops. 35 revives
5* kamala on one time nerfed champion boss 6 revives. I remember people dumping 30 revives.
4* labyrinth challanges. (SL)70 revives + (canada)35 revives + (inhuman) 9 team and 3 single revives.
Abyss carinas. (Mutant) 35 revives + (symbiote/spider/sinister) 14 revives + (challanges) 102 revives.

CCP challanges were far easier than those.
My only complain I had was investing r4 materials and sigs on dud avengers and Zemo first time I did them. Second time it's was basically a Lil annoying on the iso. All other resources became abundant for me.

First run.
•5R5 starky: 4-5 revive both kangs.
•All r3 avengers: about 25 revives.
•Zemo 6r3: 30 revives
•All 6R3 avengers:
•Tigra R6+6R3 jabari: 7 revives modok + 15 revives for the rest.
•7* r1 unduped mojo + 6r3 mojo: 22 revives. (Modok-8 terrax-8)

I recently did my second pass on these challanges on alt account with all champs at higher ranks and that made a massive difference. This time I invested on 1k unit bundle for 30% champion boosts. Last time I had abundant of revives so didn't use bigger boosts.

5r4a starky 4-5 revives both kangs.
6r5a Zemo- 6 revives
Thor r4a + BW r4 + antman r4 + ogim r3 Hawkeye unduped 7r1: 9 revives
R5a Tigra+ 7r2 Jabari: 14 revives.
6r4a mojo: 16 revives

So if you rilli rilli rilli rilli rilli want to go ahead with your plan, confirm it. They are not for the faint of hearts. We will help out with the strategy and fights.

Apart for legacies one which is designed well and well thought out, they're plain awful.. not worth doing imo, just a revive fest and no real thought put in to it.. I went to do the zemo one, and 5 mins of just heaving doom, just thought to myself, it just ain't worth this ****, it's boring, it's grindy and an utter unit and revive fest

My honest advice are:-

1) Don't do it for Stark Spider, only do it if you really enjoy challenges end game content.

2) It is possible to get Stark Spider and Masacre from certain crystals, and better targeting them instead.

3) As other say better save those 10k units for 4th July, you might have a chance to pick a selector for him.

I wouldn't burn 10K units on those challenges. Better to just do them slowly and steadily over a longer period of time. Build up your stash of revives between each run so that you don't have to dip into your units (too much).

I actually quite liked all of the challenges. I thought that Fintech's challenges would make me want to bash my head against a wall, but even those were pretty manageable in the end. But you definitely want to rank up your champions as high as you can for most of these challenges and not go in with low-ranked champs. The exception is the Avengers run in Grandmaster's Gauntlet. It's fine to leave most of them at r4. Maybe throw on some ascension dust, if you've got any to spare. But I think Mike did a great job with them and I was surprised to see that it was one of my least resource-intensive GG runs to date. Likewise, the only GG Thanos solo I've ever pulled off was with Baron Zemo. He's pretty nuts in there if you bring a whole team of Zemos.

Same here. If you know how to use Zemo, that challenge is fun and only requires a handful of revives.

I did get him through the unit deals. I’m still going through the CCP to get 2099 and Masacre though. Figured it was a good way to get all 3.
