The beginning of the End of Marvel Contest of champions.
Dear Kabam Team,
I’m writing this because I love Marvel. I grew up on Marvel comics, movies, and shows. When I saw Marvel Contest of Champions advertised on Instagram in 2019, I was hooked. This game wasn’t just about beating fights with precise skill—it was about playing as the characters I loved. That’s what made it addictive for me. I wanted to be Wolverine, Spider-Man, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man.
But now? We’re getting filler characters like Lumatrix or Deathless Thanos. Why? Where are the original Marvel characters?
Here’s what needs to change:
1️⃣ Thor Infinity War – Give Thor the Justice He Deserves
Thor in MCOC is underwhelming, like how the MCU treated Hulk. We have Captain America Infinity War, Iron Man Infinity War... but no Thor Infinity War? That’s a miss.
Here’s how to make it right:
Immunities: Shock and Incinerate.
SP1: Builds charges on himself or the opponent (Stormbreaker charges, maybe).
SP2: Massive fury burst called “Bring Me Thanos”—Thor leaps and delivers a colossal thunder strike.
SP3: Thor pulls the neutron star (like Air-Walker’s Galactus SP3), dealing critical incinerate and shock damage.
Add a twist: make him intercept-immune. If an opponent tries to intercept or parry too much, Thor punishes with a stun. This makes him dangerous on both attack and defense.
People would spend big money for Thor Infinity War. It’s a win for players and Kabam.
2️⃣ Add Lockjaw and Cosmo
Marvel has so many animal characters with history—why are we stuck with Spider-Ham, Hit-Monkey, but no Lockjaw (Inhumans) or Cosmo (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3)? I love pitbulls, and it feels like a missed opportunity not having these in the game.
3️⃣ Still No Indian Characters?
It’s 2025, and we still don’t have a single Indian character in the game. That’s why MCOC struggles in India, while games like PUBG and Free Fire thrive—they respect and celebrate multicultural diversity, like Diwali and regional holidays. Kabam only celebrates Lunar New Year and Christmas. That’s not how a global game should operate.
4️⃣ No More Filler Characters Like Lumatrix
Let’s stop introducing random characters like Lumatrix or Isophyne’s brother just for the sake of content. People spend because they’re loyal, but that doesn’t mean we should settle for low-effort designs. Focus on real Marvel characters. Build the game on what made it great, not what makes whales swipe their credit cards without thinking.
5️⃣ New Champions, New Content
The game feels stale. No new champions to get excited about, no fresh content—just Everest-level fights like EOPC and heavy focus on Battlegrounds. Not everyone wants Battlegrounds. And lately, the game crashes too much. You’re losing players because the game isn’t evolving in a way that excites people.
6️⃣ Final Words – Don’t Ignore the Players
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about MCOC, and I’m tired of getting no real answers. I’m not asking for miracles—just one change from this list. If Kabam keeps ignoring the community, I’ll stop spending and eventually quit. And when one person quits, others will follow. No company thrives by disrespecting its players.
