How on earth are accounts in mysterium still cheating 26 days into the season ? The person I've just fought was on 450 points. What an absolute disgrace

I need you to use your influence and ask kabem to remove cheaters from leaderboards before they diss out rank rewards.
I dont remember a single instance when a cheater got banned and was removed from ranks.

I checked my rank seconds before season ended and confirmed after getting rank rewards(for countless seasons), that I didnt move a single rank.
Yet they have claimed and I believe them that they have banned a player. But they did not remove them from leaderboard.

No amount of reports equates to an instant ban. All cheating reports are reviewed by the anticheat team before bans are issued. Sometimes cheating is blatant and obvious, but other times it isn’t as obvious and further investigation or an accumulation of evidence piles up before someone is banned.

They obviously can't be constantly banning all of them but at the very least I hope they all get banned before rewards come out GC has been frustrating this season due to this.

is there any way that cheated players can get their points back? it seems easy. reviews any matches and any that are confirmed to be TOS violations have their points transferred.

That would make it that the player who gets matched with the most cheaters would be in top of the leaderboard.

We can't really say whether the player would've won the match had it not been a cheater.

But yeah, some sort of relief measure might be nice.

There is a magic button, but the magic button costs money. If they could just increase their investment into building a larger team dedicated to this garbage, then they could get eyes on the reports faster and change their approach to ban frequency. But money isn't a button they're going to press to solve the issue.

Right, I doubt however that the corporate higher-ups in charge of headcount and budget actually play the game or care about any complaints from players. I assume they only care about revenue and amount of users, and if those numbers decrease, they'll probably just do more layoffs and offer more sales events with "balanced" champs like Dark Phoenix.

I made this post yesterday and I was pushing a lot last night and ran into 3 accounts that didn't even try to hide it. Ive stopped trying at 424 points, I think theres got to be at least 30 accounts in mysterium or above. I even played someone in celestial who had all 7*s without changing the stat focus on any of them (not sus just weird) he ended on 100% on both fights in less than 40 seconds one was my medusa he used cheelth (not impossible but yeah). Hopefully if you just miss on mysterium you will get it due to the amount of bans

100% agree. It’s another side effect of cheating and the lack of transparency post BGs lock. It’d be sincerely awesome if there was a post rewards payout showing the number of cheaters in each bracket that were banned and adjusted finishes. Or a rewards adjustment package issued (being the difference between lock and adjusted actual) if it would have impacted your reward payouts.

There are people in the top 3 using cheats, 450 points is not that relevant.
I would say that something close to 20% of players in this range are cheating in some way, either with a pilot or using a mod.
I myself know ten people in Celestial who are being piloted. I know there are many more.

I remember way back in the past there was a "threat" to punish people by making BGs unavailable. Locking the game mode for some players. This threat was for oint farmers and people declining too many matches.
Well why not use that while investigating some.

Don't know if it was a cheater but had a perfect matchup Adam Warlock against Chee'ilth and as soon as I won I got a error message kicking me and forcing me to restart the fight and I lost. Don't know if it was a cheater but come tf on. Having small things like that happen and leaving defender on 1% who insta throw sp3 just ruins the mode tbh.

There is nothing your opponent can do to impact the game on your end. Probably just a blip in your service/wifi at the wrong time.

@DNA3000 could you try and find out if the bans will be applied before the rewards get dished out please ? Or will they just get banned and keep their position on the leaderboard

I am worried that because the amount of cheating in battlegrounds is so massive that they won’t do anything for fear of looking like they cannot police their own game. It violates the terms of service to post names of suspected cheaters but the anonymity allows them to continue the practice when or I guess at this point it’s if they are banned. The fact remains that there is a problem that hasn’t been addressed except for a so called ban wave that took place earlier this season. The amount of people still modding makes that “wave” look like a mere ripple. The season ends in a few hours so let’s see what happens but I don’t think I speak for myself and a few in game friends when I say we do not have high hopes that wrongs are righted.

Gotta disagree here… they had a decent handle on this for the most part this last year. But there is a noticeably gigantic spike in modders this season. And it’s probably due to raidence and the PC version of the game.

What’s disappointing is this was a top concern of the player base when the PC version was announced and it doesn’t seem it was taken seriously at all, looking at this spike. Radiance will camouflage this problem for now… but if the team can’t get a handle on PC modders it’s gonna be horrific for long term health of the mode.

Cheating is such a damn cancer as it costs points in-season, discourages others from trying, and all objective evidence seems to point to it hurting placements and reward payouts of honest players. They really gotta do something more again.
