Light essence

I have two questions related to light essence :-
1: Right now I have 5 light essence as a F2P player , will we be getting more of those or was AW and BGS rewards the last we saw of it ?
2: If i don't exchange my light essence, will it be converted into anything like 7* shards or Shattered essense or will it just be a waste ?

    You can trade to 7* shards I think

    You will be able to trade it for 7*s sometime after the 4th. I'm not sure when that trade-in will appear. Alternatively you can hoard them until the heat death of the universe or whenever kabam decides to remove them.
