Not getting points for Big Thing solo event

So if the alliance you are going against don’t place defenders on the board you don’t get the 40 points towards the Big Thing solo event. This has now happened to me twice, why do we not get the points for passing the node? I am not going to be able to claim the final milestone for that event and the same with many of my ally members. I did not choose to not have defenders to take down so i should still get those points i would have rather had my 1 war fight (which is stupid) and got my points towards the event. Those points should be awarded or alliances should be forced to place a defender to join a war.

Also i tried to submit a ticket but of course i can’t get into the site for it

The same thing has happened to my Alliance 3 Wars in a row now with little to no defenders, so we cant get points.
