Rank order AW nodes in terms of difficulty

Currently having issues trying to manage our alliance. Obviously, certain defenders will make a node easier or harder, but generally speaking, how would you order the nodes from most difficult to least difficult?

Definitely the node 1 (prowess control) and node 3 (regen) got to be toughest.

Hard to put into a list but there are two categories in my mind.

The easy nodes will allow you to earn charges with a wide range of champs, so then your only challenge is matching your attacker to the defender. Nodes 4-8, IMO.

The tougher nodes are the ones that overlay a tighter RPG ask in addition or instead of specific the fight actions required to earn charges. Nodes 1-3, 9-10.

This.. the nodes where charges can be gained via certain game play actions are where the defenders are least protected from their usual counter attackers - for these you have decide what defenders may make it slightly more difficult to complete these actions

As for the nodes that require a certain mechanic usually found in a champion kit.. these are the fights where you can filter the attacker pool down.. AW defense is all about protecting your defender from attackers who rinse them basically haha

Now, if you really get into it.. you can also place with specific masteries as well.. especially in a one defender per player format as well - place with masteries in mind for who the ideal attacker will be (filtered by node placement) and try to make it more difficult
    Warlock fight: place without WP
Nefaria fight: place without WP and put points in Unfazed
    Etc. etc.

Node 7 root has been the easiest to build up charges for me.

Yeah, for example here I think a lot of people are placing champs who have punishing mechanics associated with their heavy attacks
    Wong, AC, Rintrah, etc.

Honestly.. I like this new mode
It has opened a new way of viewing fights.. we are utilizing synergies we haven't in the past and sharpening our game using attackers outside of the normal range (when forced to via filters essentially)

As with any new format.. troublesome placements are being discovered.. and then answers to them are being discovered.. and so it goes

I like that it really brings battle groups together to cover all 10 in the most effective way - using roster and also fight experience (in a particular match) to find our strengths and weaknesses as a battle group

I play node 4 but node 2 is by far the easiest for me cos my dazzler can take LITERALLY ANYONE on that node except probably zola as he shuts her off completely. She basically ramps up by existing.

I think the difficulty of each node depends on your roster and if you have champions that can answer the node as well as the champion placed on it.
I personally find node 3 to be the most difficult as I do not have heal reversal champs I also do not have an answer to the hazard node so those for me are the most difficult.

Exactly, I think a lot of battle groups are assigning each attack phase dynamically now though.. as opposed to the format of static assignment - because it's easier to plan each attack individually now in this format.. so you send each player to whatever fight their roster and experience (repeated success against this defender) gives them the highest chance for success

And yeah, if you place Photon on any node Dazzy can do.. she'll likely get rinsed

Completely agree about the difference in collaboration, usage of synergies, etc. My ally is plat 2/3 depending on the season. We are never going to cross into tier 1 and do hardcore planning for 150 fights every war. But we can totally macgyver our way through ten fights in a line chat for each BG. Everybody goes into their fight after a conversation, they have a game plan, etc. Doesn’t mean it always works out, but it’s better than our old situation of winging most of the path fights and then sort of collaborating on the minis and island.
