Btw, every match I played today (4 V2, 1 GC), my opponents barely had any R3s, much less any R4s.
I can't spend all day playing BG, but I bet some people are going to stack up points in GC like it's Xmas.

There are monster whale accounts in gc. Nobody is pushing that high in a single day. As for the seeding, apparently anyone who played bgs withing 20 minutes of launch was placed in V2.

They are sending out compensation. Trophy tokens being the highlight. 50k if you made gc last season. Also, the week 1 radiance objective will be extended to 2 weeks.

But I'm facing accounts in GC who have no business being in GC on the first day of the season.

It’s very frustrating to have a competitive mode experience this kind of distortion first day of the season. And then for the remedy to be (mostly) things many players already have a lot of (and in some respects can’t access readily because of artificial caps).

You are a unique one to get d1 and not d4 lol

Ya unfortunately as the update said there is nothing we can do about this without additional knock-on risks, other than make sure it doesn't happen again. If it makes anybody feel better (I know it probably won't) I'm one of the players that got bumped down to D4.
