This is probably just the new normal. I mean, it’s what they’ve always done — it’s just that the cycles are getting faster and faster. Time was, if you bought a Dark Phoenix, you probably enjoyed a noticeable competitive advantage for something like six months. Now? You get to stampede folks with Dark Phoenix for a couple weeks.

She already had a few decent counters in Hood and White Tiger.... who you also didn't have to buy like Nico. Same with just about every defender. A few counters exist that are more accessible than the new champs you have to buy bundles for.

Hood was more than decent, he annihilates her. Wiger I think does pretty well but not as good

This GC meta is annoying and I got smacked here but Shathra (r3 vs r3) demolishes her. I assume in a regular meta she’d cook her without taking as much damage

Serpent has multiple counters already and he's still #1 defender in the game, one hard counter doesn't really change much I've gotten wins even with champs like Iceman so I really don't think this is that big of a deal. If anything it's kinda necessary because it'd be very unfair if they kept her as a huge unavoidable threat for months.

Forgot about serpent, even my dog counters bullseye and still he's in every deck. Nico isn't the first one we already have a bunch of hard counters like iceman hood shathra mojo etc.

I’m not op, but I did dp, she’s banned 9.5 times out of 10 in bg’s for me.

Onslaught,serpent, etc easily gets counter. Doesn’t stop people from ranking them up.

Also just seen videos what she can do vs cosmics and she’s pretty much op when it comes to it, if she wasn’t op then not a lot people would want her.

Seen some crazy things from her already. But that’s what we need these days for better op champs.

2 things I've learned when it comes to these champs:
1. only chase who you really, really WANT. That way, you'll never feel like you wasted money or units, even if a counter is later released.

2. If you have FOMO, remove it and you'll save yourself a lot of disappointment.

Because it's all about GETTING the counter... you can have all 6 and they still pull him last draft and you have nothing and is why he is still top. The niche offense needed to counter these new champs is making BGs an RNG casino

Agreed, Nico changes nothing for me DP is still a trap defender. I've also lost to Peni myself because I no longer run Galan and Hulkling in my deck the r3 is so tanky.
