AW - Multiple Defender Placement Maps Added with June release

In season 58 big things AW, with the June release update, multiple defender maps were added back in. Is this a bug? We placed or defenders across all now but prior to the June patch, only one map was there.

What do you mean multiple maps were added back in.
Beginning of off-season (new map), everyone's 5 defenders got (randomly) pruned down to 1 defender, and NOT given an actual node # to be assigned to (any prior node # they had were all removed). Matchmaking would have game randomly place them onto a node for that war, but technically they have not been placed by player yet).
Alliance AW setting for “auto place defenders” is the setting that changes from being able to place different locations for all 3 potential Tier Maps (Current, +, and - Tiers), to a way that would only have “Current” available, and then will use those singularly assigned spots when your Ally moves Up/Down to a different Tier Map.
So maybe an officer changed that setting.
Of which (above notes), because of removing all old assignments, I changed mine to “Auto Place”, since even the + and - Tiers will have had their location assignments cleared out due to the 50 to 10 map change. And it was hard enough getting people to go back in and “re-assign” their defender on one map, let along 3 maps.
But maybe someone in your ally actually did this in reverse (turned that setting off, thus you seeing those “multiple” maps again). If indeed that is what you mean.
Or similarly, maybe you did just cross over +/- to a next Tier Map, and if not using “auto place” would result in many defenders not having an assigned node # anymore. (not sure if that is what you mean).
