Tons of dropped & phantom inputs with iphone 16

I’ve played since 2018 on an iphone SE, but recently upgraded to an iPhone 16 pro.

Suddenly I’m having all sorts of missed inputs (blocks usually) and phantom inputs (dashes mostly). Has anyone else experienced this with a new iPhone? Borderline unplayable now.

Same here. Regular iPhone 16 though running iOS 18.5. Had an iPhone 15 that got stolen two months ago and got the 16 as a replacement. Keep checking here to see if issues were because i sucked or game issue and haven't seen anyone else post about it until now. Youtube shows people complaining but they're old vids from a year to three years ago.

Had to leave a top of Plat 1/Masters alliance last season because had so many input issues during the second war it was either hurt the alliance by staying or step away from AW. Just got into a plat 3 alliance, first war i've done and same thing still.

Saw some say the phone itself has input issues, but i haven't experienced any except when playing MCOC. And it seems fine during most quests, arena, etc. Only seems to happen to me in AW, Battlegrounds and sometimes, but not always, during some of the higher quests like the new valiant monthly quest where it's sporadic. Consistent issues in AW and Battlegrounds though to the point it's frustrating and almost unplayable. I'll drop blocks randomly for no reason, i'll swipe to counter attack and only swing in place, dex won't work at times and i take punches to the face.

I've tried adjusting the touch settings, etc and nothing seems to fix it. Thought it was the screen protector at first as when i left the alliance last season i took it off and things seemed fine for a bit. I wasn't doing AW though either, and it seemed okay in Battlegrounds until a week before season started and then it started happening there again too.

Since the phone seems fine otherwise, it's gotta be the game, and since it only seems to happen in certain modes, it makes me wonder if it's something with the code in those particular nodes. Not positive though and hard to show vids since i've uploaded fights in our Line chat and since they can't see me tapping the screen it looks like i just suck, but if i had a second phone you could see the swipes and taps not taking place on the screen. Hoping they fix this soon as I'm about ready to say i quit. Not worth the frustration at this point.

I’m wondering if it’s because the screen goes so close to the edge. I’m trying not to let anything but my thumbs touch, but it’s super awkward.

Same I just don’t think I can really play at an end game level anymore.

Along with a vid. It's definitely not an edge thing as you can see in my vid. And the phone's fine other wise, just specific high end modes in MCOC where the inputs start dropping which leads me to believe it's bad programming by the developers. The vid oddly enough was in a practice fight so i guess that mode too. Maybe because it's running through so many nodes in the higher end content it's messing with the inputs possibly? Or since it's fine in normal monthly quests, maybe the way it's loading special quests/modes is messing with it. Only thing i can think of after seeing it working fine in easier modes and only being messed with in the more competitive stuff. And yes, i've been in high plat1/masters alliances almost forever, started playing around the time the game first came out. Inputs are so bad, i can't play at that end level anymore without hurting those alliances if i join.

You'd think they'd at least respond and say they're working on a fix with July 4th coming around. Definitely won't be spending a penny if this is how the handle these issues.
