Ban algorithm is wrong.

The ban algorithm is definitely banning people who have downloaded from official stores. I was banned and only ever downloaded from google play store over the last 9+ years of playing. These are from my app installed on device


And this is from my google play store app


I use a samsung S7 and android 8.0.

I have left it with support so hopefully they can sort it. Posting here to hopefully raise awareness with kabam and the community at large.

    What be tampered with? Which one -Google play store or the app? Being in Australia I have zero reason to download from anywhere else.

    I guess, but I have no reason for that either.
    But this is the internet so I can see why skepticism is high.

    Yes.. miracles still happen. Quite a few apps do, a lot do not. I should probably update my phone but everything I need still works, so haven't bothered.

    It definitely seems likely that their software would not be able to do its detection properly on very old versions of an OS. Whatver it looks for may not have even been a data element that existed in OSes that old. So if it can't find what it's looking for in your app details, it might just flag it as coming from an unauthorized source.

    There are just so many things that can go wrong when you run a new piece of software on hundreds of thousands of test cases.

    Well seems it was a false positive result as I am now unbanned. Good to see Kabam owning up and fixing their mistake. Hopefully refinements can be made to the ban algorithm and new tech rollouts from this, at least some silver linings to an otherwise terrible situation.

    I don’t care.
    I was with the folks that didn’t have this stupid new ant cheat thing. Very glad it’s getting reversed.

    I’m now for the other side.
