Urgent: Wrongfully Suspended During Anti-Cheat Wave - 7-Day Ban Without Justification

Dear Kabam(mcoc) Team,
On June 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM (UTC+8), my account was abruptly suspended for 7 days due to alleged "third-party tool usage." I write today in good faith, confident this was a grave error in your detection system. As a loyal player for nearly four years, I’ve never engaged in cheating—this ban not only penalizes innocence but undermines trust in your enforcement. I implore you to review this case urgently.
1. Device: Huawei Nova 7 (Android 10, EMUI 12)
2. Installation Source: Google Play Store, downloaded via OurPlay (a legitimate Android-compatibility tool)
3. Play Duration: Daily player since 2021 (~4 years), totaling 2,000+ hours
4. Zero Violations: Never used cheats, macros, or account-sharing tools. My gameplay relies solely on skill and dedication.
Thousands of legitimate players using OurPlay or similar tools report identical wrongful bans. We understand your fight against cheaters—but when automated systems misfire, real humans bear the cost. As Voltaire warned, "Injustice in the end produces independence"—yet we want to remain in your community.
Many affected players are students with limited device options. Huawei users (without native Google services) depend on tools like OurPlay to access games. Banning us for this is akin to punishing circumstance, not malice. We invested years building our accounts; losing event rewards or ranked progress due to a false positive is devastating.
We respectfully ask:
1. Please immediate review and reversal of wrongful bans.
2. Please compensation for lost time/resources (events, dailies, rankings).
3. Please technical refinement to distinguish legitimate tools from cheats.
4. Please policy adjustment to avoid banning players for installation sources alone.
We fully endorse your anti-cheat efforts! Clean environments benefit us all. However, a 7-day ban erases hard-earned progress, demoralizes loyal players, and may inadvertently push others away for fear of false flags. When good-faith players feel unprotected, the game loses its lifeblood—its community.
As Theodore Roosevelt said, "Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care." We believe in mcoc’s potential—that’s why we’ve stayed for years. By addressing this, you’ll reaffirm that our dedication matters. We urge transparency and action to resolve this wave of errors, ensuring both game integrity and player justice.
Thank you for your time. We eagerly await your response and resolution.
Sincerely,
A Concerned Loyal Player

Also, this AI generated message is really quoting Teddy Roosevelt lmao
I would assume those thousands of people you talked about were part of the bans as well if they play MCOC.
Again, I sympathize with players who want to play perfectly fair, but playing in this manner uses the tools cheaters use to both cheat and avoid detection. There’s no practical way to ban the cheaters using such tools without banning everyone using them.
Player: agrees to rule
Player: breaks rule
Kabam: enforces rule
Player/ChatGPT: UNJUST AND BASELESS CHARGES!
You broke the rules, you reap the rewards. Access the game correctly or don't play it.
Not everything is an easy solve. This particular situation is one they found a solve for. You don't get to justify your poor decision based on other issues in the game.
It really comes down to this. If you want to catch cheaters, especially cheaters smart enough to not do something incredibly stupid, you need the game clients to report what's happening and trust they will report that data reliably. If a player uses an unauthorized client or runs in an unauthorized environment, they can in theory do anything, change anything, and do so in an undetectable way. All you can do is detect when it isn't your own client running in a trustworthy environment, and prevent it from connecting to the game.
We can ban players who use such things, or we can block the clients. But if we just block them and allow the players to keep trying over and over, we are in effect allowing them to figure out how to evade detection. Eventually they will succeed. This is a fundamental principle of systems security. If you let people try until they succeed, they always eventually do.
