My account has been mistakenly banned. Please help me !!!!

Hello Kabam management team,
I am a long-time player of Marvel Contest of Champions. Except for mistakenly using a third-party software recommended by a friend at the very beginning (which resulted in a 7-day ban), I have never used any third-party tools in arenas, dungeons, or any other game modes in recent years. I was recently notified by the official team that my account was banned for 30 days for using illegal third-party software, which I truly cannot understand. The only possibility is that I used a VPN on my Android phone to log in recently, as my iPhone couldn’t access the game without upgrading to iOS 15. I have strictly complied with Kabam’s rules otherwise. I also actively participate in events like purchasing dual paths. This must be a mistaken ban! Please review my account and lift the ban. Thank you!

But curious how using a VPN would get around the Android Version requirement ?

Isn’t your device still gonna be recognized as running Android v##.# (whatever the versions are) regardless of using a VPN ?

And wouldn’t Google PlayStore still only allow a Game Update if the device Android version number is met ?

(I've seen a couple other mentions about VPN related to getting around older Android version still being able to get/play the game. Just don't know how that would be possible. Unless using such VPN then also was part of people then doing a “side-loaded” APK style install of the game ?)

If it were some modified OS, that you could program into it to show to software apps whatever Android version number you wanted to specify, that would be another thing, but VPN's by themselves don’t do things to that degree, do they ? Isn’t it just for not letting your location not be identified, and pretending that you are in a different location ?

I didn't use a VPN to bypass the old Android version for game updates. Instead, recently, for some unknown reason, I couldn't log in to the game normally in my region. However, after using a VPN, I could log in normally and enjoy a smooth gaming experience. Therefore, I don't understand why I was identified as using an illegal third-party program. I would like to ask the administrator to help re-audit and confirm this, as I confirm that I haven't used any cheating programs for gaming in the past 5 or 6 years.

Someone recently mentioned using software that is sometimes described as a VPN to allow Google Play services to run on Android phones that don’t support it, but it is *also* a virtual environment that runs the game in a separate sandbox. Which means it is effectively an emulator, which is prohibited.

Yes, I'm sure it's just a VPN. I roughly know the software similar to an emulator you mentioned, but I really haven't used that kind of software. That's why I feel wronged about the account ban this time.

Then you need to open a support ticket and explain your situation. No one here can confirm your assertions are accurate, only the fair play team at Kabam with access to the data used to validate player accounts can do that.

Alright, thank you for the reminder and help. In the past, whenever I encountered issues, I would submit them through the page redirected by the technical support button in the game. This time, since my account has been banned, I can't access the game to submit a ticket and have been unable to find any other way to report the problem, which is why I'm asking here.
