Can we look at champion designer portfolios?

I'm just curious if a list of each designer's champions exists somewhere? I heard DLL say Nico is his 12th champion and I'm curious to find out everyone else on that list.

No. Kabam does not put out such lists. However, DLL has created Absorbing Man, Kate Bishop, Photon, Buff Luke Cage, Kushala, Serpent, Patriot, Deathless She Hulk, Rework Panther Civil War, Deathless Thanos, Jean Grey, Nico Minoru and in November there will be the last champion this year

Stil wouldn’t be the same. And honestly I kind agree with rex one this one. The idea is cool but we know people who don’t hesitate to say bad things about all just because they don’t like the champion.

Agreed on this, the community can get very toxic. I think for now it's best to let the designers themselves talk about their Champs, but it would be cool to have them come on the monthly streams like Rayn last time. It's nice to see how much passion and thought is put into each kit regardless of how they finally turn out. Knowing the intention behind the choices made could also improve the reception of the "mid" Champions.

Well, to be honest, Skippy's champions are very interesting to me personally because of their mechanics. Also, he has recently created Jack O' Lantern and Dark Phoenix

This I also would love to see other champs designer other than rayn and dll on stream to get to know more about them and their ideas behind creating the champions also how kabam decide which person will make which champ

Like which is the champ which was very hard to make ?
Which champ has more unique abilities?
Do you prefer comic book look or mcu look
Something like this will make the stream more engaging and knowledgeable
Also even buffed champ designer should be on the stream as well

Regarding how game designers choose who to make. According to DLL, they are given a list of champions for the year and are shown all the months. The one who most wants to develop a particular champion, and he takes on its development. At least I believe that it did not come to the point where game designers quarreled because they wanted to create the same champion. Well, nothing unusual, they seem to have access to information about the year and a half and their champions in advance.
But yeah, I agree that this kind of content would be interesting on a live stream, but kabam won't do it lol
Regarding the question of who was more difficult to develop... obviously Mystique is the winner haha (even though she hasn't come out yet, but we're still waiting for her)

I’ll build on with this and say I love hearing the designers talk about their champions and think that would be a great addition as a recurring segment during the livestreams. Having designers talk about their process, the champion design space (are they a lock? Are they a key? Are they a key for a yet to appear lock? Etc.) is much more interesting than hearing about the same sq structure (do something to get a key, use key to open quest, clear path) every month.

DLL on the nico spotlight did say that its not a good idea for the designer of upcoming champs to be revealed because of the communitys nature to assess how "good" or "bad" an upcoming champ will be based on the designers history of past champs.
Those weren't his exact words but that's me interpreting it as best as I can remember.

And I do agree because given his history of his champs being really good, everyone always has high expectations of his champs to be EXCEPTIONAL.
If it were another developer who may have a history of designing "unloved" champs, the amount of negativity going towards them would be enormous so why create room for negativity that could just be avoided.

Obviously, I would love to know the developers of my favorite champ so I could create a grateful post and ask for it to be related to them but what about the RANTERS on here who make countless comparisons and talk about how certain champions are TERRIBLY designed.
Let's not go back to the numerous rants from the people who got silver sable and patriot.
It's probably for the best.

You said noticeably better as if the three I mentioned aren't in contention for best champions of the year. Nico is great absolutely but acting her or jean are tiers ahead of the champions I mentioned is a little ridiculous

I guarantee most of them would only do it after like 3 months so they can gauge whether people like them or not. Dll does a decent job at explaining the intent behind the champs and people still get mad at him for not including pieces of that they have no need for

Serpent (most players think he is unbalanced, even CCP started a petition for him to be nerf, and no other Def have had that many "counter" since they been released.
Patriot - Well he is jusy a failure

Unsure -
D Thanos is amazing, he meant to be OP, sure not sure if he is unbalanced or spot on.
D She-Hulk, imp I think She Hulk OG kits and sign is better, she just need a little help with maintaining her Fury, so I don't see D Gen as a really improvement.

So 4 Balanced, 3 Unbalanced and 2 Unsured.

There are also so many champs that are amazing and fun to play in MCOC, Tigra Scorpion, Hulking, AC, F Antman, Prowler, Iron Heart (after her correction).

I do like to hear the designers think and process in designing the champs, but let not put too much credit to a designers, all have to follow Kabam power budgets.

Also please note DLL are not partt of the Balance team, he can give suggestion, but the final decision is down to the Balance team.

It might be healther not to put too much credit or responsibility to one Kabam staff, it is all part of a team

I've got to agree with the consensus that it's not a good idea. For every hundred people who would take that knowledge and be sensible with it there's always going to be one individual that has no limits on being nasty, unkind, personal and in some cases happy to say or threaten things that are genuinely criminal.

Using pseudonyms would be fine if the real developers were completely anonymous, but software developers have enough to deal with without the silliness that social media enables.

Thanos is meant to be amazing, he was a long chase champ

Deathless She-Hulk is imo an improvement over regular she hulk, she’s got a lot going for her, especially with the full team
