Why does the despair mastery not work in AW node 3?

Been trying an Okoye against a Photon on this node. You gain force charges when you reduce their regen rate to 0. 50+ debuffs and their regen rate is just as it is at the start of the fight. WTF? Nothing in the kit indicates that you cannot reduce their regent rate.

Since it is a gamemode where you're playing against other players who have masteries, they likely have the recovery mastery, meaning their base regen rate is above 100%. Despair only reduces regen rate up to 100%. So, they will still have some regen rate left over, meaning no charges from the node.

You need petrify mastery along side despair.

Warlock is the answer. For Photon, for Sersi, for whatever clever trap defender somebody thinks of next week…

Blanking on the name of the mastery, but the main culprit would be that mastery that increases regen rate by 15%, meaning your opponent has 115% regen rate. Despair can't bring it down below 100%, so there's still some healing left. Need a true heal block/prevention champ, or someone that can add some petrifies to the mix like Void, Photon, or Mr. F prefights. Petrify mastery can also reverse healing when you stun the opponent, but will only work while they are stunned. At least it can get you charges though.
