The 7* filter in WOF is also compounding another terrible change made this year

That is the fact that the Eidol armory only gives you a SIX STAR unless you spend money or are in a minuscule fraction of ultra competitive players. This is completely antithetical to the player friendly goal of the deathless series last year which require player engagement and high level rosters, but was ultimately not finitely restricted as to how many players could get the 7*, and any valiant staying up to date on content could very reasonably end up with a 7* deathless thanos by the end of the year, as well as the 4 other deathless champions.
But now, a year later where 6*s are only becoming further obsolete with the addition of rank 4 7*s, Kabam has now decided that 6* champions are a fitting reward for valiant and paragon players actively doing endgame content. And of course, not only does 6* mean they are very outclassed in terms of power, but you LITERALLY CANNOT USE THEM IN THE NEWEST ENDGAME CONTENT, let alone the fact that they're going to be relatively weak in terms of power. Kabam is rewarding players who do endgame content with champions that are outright barred from being used in the newest endgame content.
All this from a developer who just a few months ago was talking about how they're "listening to players" and "want to give people more ways to unlock champions without having to spend an unreasonable amount of time grinding content".
