Act 6 Completed - My overview

FlikFlik Member Posts: 57
For some background, I was a player who quit the game back in 2019. I remember how horrible Act 6 was pre nerf. I recently re-joined the game (1-2 months back).
Honestly I wasn't going to complete Act 6 before they buff the rewards, but after seeing how many free 6 star champions you can get as thronebreaker (from calendars, I am not even including super daily event buffs) I decided that It would be worth it even if they add a couple of 7 stars post buff.
Post nerf Act 6 is not nasty (honestly these monthly eq bosses or worse now a days), I could do it with my usual questing team. (r4 6* Doom, r3 6* mister sinister, r3 6* Nick fury were mostly enough).
Just before fighting grandmaster I luckily pulled Juggernaut. Immediately took him to r4 ascended)

After fighting grandmaster with mostly mr sinister, doom and juggernaut I realized that it was mostly my trauma holding me back. I just used 4-5 revives. (I overprepared, now I am overflowing with potions, revives and free crystals).

(I used juggernaut in first phase bcs of easy intercepts, used doom in second phase bcs it was easy to put debuffs, used mr sinister for rest bcs of reverse control immunity)

Act 6 trauma is over now.
A message for those who are still avoiding it: Grandmaster is not difficult any more, Just watch some videos before fighting it.
1. Watch any tutorial for learning his mechanics.
2. Then after learning the mechanics watch some videos with your specific champs. For example: I watched "Act 6 Grandmaster solo with mr Sinister". It helped me visualize how to fight will progress.

I will stay at thonebreaker for a while now, waiting to pull some meta champ (like kate, onslought, magneto, herc or cgr )

This was my exact experience, I also came back in April this year and was stuck on Act 6 before that a long time ago. I agree with you, with the influx of six stars and everything you get in the game nowadays, there's never been a better time to push. Congratulations, honestly keep grinding you'll find Act 7 and 8 a lot more rewarding. I'm going for 9.2 completion right now and I was fighting 6.2 Mordo in April, it's crazy.

I was like this last year, I came back to celebrate 10 years and forced my way through act 6( I have done all story content act 6 is definitely the worst) the most enjoyable fight in story was Ghlykan, so fun, the most annoying was bahamat, right now I'm Valiant and I have even done Epoch Ares was fun, Act 6 is definitely a massive roadblock to such good contents

I was thinking about stopping just before 7.4.6 as you don't get 6 star shards from super daily event in paragon. What do you think I should do?

Now you’ve finished act 6 the jump to paragon is really not that big an step and worth doing. The daily rewards are a worthy bump and the reduced costs of upgrade materials are a huge plus. I finished the paragon jump a couple of months after thronebreaker without putting in too many hours. There were a few bits I struggled with but generally act 7 was less traumatic than act 6.

Won't it get harder to pull 6*s as paragon?

It’s a fair point and yes. If you feel you need to increase your 6* pool it’s probably worth waiting.

Don’t worry about 6* you will get them even without noticing them, and soon you’ll stop caring about 6* anyway… 7* is where you want to focus from now on. Act 7 and 8 are easier than act 6

Act 6 easy. I’m not saying this to be annoying or prideful. On my alt a while ago, I did act 6 in 2 days with a horrid roster. I had 1 r2 6*, and the rest of my team was 5* r4s or r3s. Cmm carried. I found act 6 is much easier the second time around.
